What metal is the EK4/EK9 front strut brace made of?

does anyone know whether the stock front strut brace in EK4/EK9 (and probably others) is made of aluminium because my mate can get stuff anodised for free but its got to be ali...its quite light so maybe it is??

Probably steel cause it rusts easily.
