If putting a new manifold on an ek4 with a 2.5 collector, should i get a decat for an ek9?

Dont want to get an adjustable decat because i dont like welds

the ek9 cat/decat is smaller than the uk spec!

just buy a 2.5 adjustable decat.

whats that about you not liking the welds? that seems bit stupid tbh :nono:
if they hold up to the job then it will be fine!
who is gonna say when you drive past "here look at his welds on his decat"

More chance of a blow out with a welded one. Can you recommend anyone that can really weld Ricky? seen a few dodgy jobs done just
 
i thought the same as you didnt trust/want an ajustable one i brought a brand new one from japperformanceparts does the job and cheap and nice :)
 
With the bigger manifold, would that not allow me to fit an ek9 decat?
 
You can get adjustable length decats which need to be welded in the middle to size. I want a one piece decat

never seen those before!
most adjustable decats are held by a clamp when you get the desired length.
not a weld buddy :secret:
sure if you welded it then you couldnt adjust it again!

just buy a 2.5" adjustable from the likes of tegiwa on here and be done,would help if you state your full set up...i.e uk or jdm length b pipe etc so people can advise,but an adjustable 2.5" decat to mate a 2.5" mani will cover all the
options anyway.

i seem to post this info on local forums every other day and swore i was done doing it :angry2:
buts its ek9.org so i will give you a chance :D
