after reading up i found out that my problem must be to do with this ie speedo not working and no vtec, im going to pick up a replacment at weekend but just wondering if anyone could show me pics of sumit to help me find it lol not done one of these before

Just replaced mine mate, no VTEC without it as the car doesn't know it's under load

I used a pair of pliers and twisted and pulled at the same time and it came out, put up a good fight though

Do a DIY ECU CEL code check mate it'll tell you if you deffo have a VSS vault
 
im now sure thats what it is did you just buy a new one or get second hand one thats working fine?
 
Try get a second hand one, new from Honda they are £200+ I managed to pick one up for £20!
