v-tec abusers turboed B18 'first page updated'


Boys boys boys... i think you lads need to rethink about the meaning of a clean car. Because i can assure you when i first saw this in the flesh the car was a mess.. VTEC ABUSER has spent so much time, effort and money on this he may aswell have just started all again with a rolling shell.

I would you write you a list of what's been done but it's that endless i don't think i would even have enough time..

Cars looking mint now though mate after everything.. keep the good work going!!
 
boys boys boys, so your saying three seasoned car enthusiasts could not see what you were purchasing? and when where there 3 of you? it was just bacon and his brother? unless you were hiding up vtec abusers bum.

just a quick update..... im now in the process of getting my car turboed. should be finished by the end of next month. no full spec just yet but as it comes together i'll get some pictures and spec list loaded up on here. at the min im just aiming for 280bhp till i can get the bottom end fully forged. hope to do that nxt year. i really really cant wait.

well it seems that i need the bottom end rebuilt. engine was taken apart today and there is a lot of wear, maybe thats why i was using so much oil. anyway it means i'll be able to run up to 400bhp. dont think i'll go that high as i believe it'll take away from the car what it was built for. anyway i'll keep updating with pics if possible as well.
 
well things seem as if there going from bad to worse. it now appears that no1 cylinder is cracked, so i now need a short motor. great. always thought it was a matter of when the engine blew up not if. just glad it was found before it was boosted.
 
quick little pic just to show the 'cracked' block. to me it looks a little odd but still not what you would want to see i guess. i think there is another block on the way so hopefully work can continue. anyway........

Awesome car dude :) sorry to hear about the bottom end, you'll get everything sorted eventually. I've been without my car for months and it's terrible, no run about :((
 
Why not re-sleeve it? Especially if you are going to go forced induction.

i dont really need to with the power im aiming for. + ive spent sooo much on the engine already. i was reading a thread about the cost of forced induction, and i thought no way is it that bad.... IT IS!!!!!

just to top it off i just got a call saying that my S80 box, 1st-5th and reverse is fairly well marked and i need 5 out of 6bearings!! S9B box here we come.
 
Looks good m8. Id say put a ek9 lip in sted of a vti-s and then it will be pucker.
