i was swaping my engine mounts this morning and the front engine torque mount bolt which goes into the chassis leg has snapped the weld on the captive nut inside the chassis leg, which do you rekon will be the easyer option, cut a door like hole in the side of the chassis leg of drill a hole in the top (next to the p/s resivoir braket) with a hole cutter, is the front of the chassis leg behind the bumper open or is it closed off?

Maybe i am too drunk but i do not understand, can you please post some photo's?

OH ****!! this happend to me a while ago on the rear and we had t cut a window like you suggested, remove the broken nut and weld on a new one.

However since this is just a TQ mount i would suggest you leave it as is and simply stop using the tq mount, instead i would urge you to buy a decent set of engine mounts, I personally only run the 3 main engine mounts (no tq mounts).

can you post photo's of the spoon ones?

yeah they are over priced but the improvement is so much more than i thought it would be and tbh i think the solid ones would probably drive me crazy! lol im the sort of person if there is a rattle or vibration no matter how big or small i get abit scared!
the improvmests i have felt from these mounts are
crisper gear change
more clutch peddle feel
feels abit more responsive
and certainly feels quicker off the line
also the steering really does feel different im not sure weather this is just menal or weather it acctually has...
i do rate these mounts but its just that price:angry:

Im getting Spoon Engine Mounts. The mounts like Hasport and Innovative etc are just too hard. And take away from your car if you drive it a nice bit IMO. Spoon may sound a tad expensive but try pricing 5 new mounts from Honda!

supose thats a good point! lol i do like them i havnt chnged the rear one yet im to scared:(( i can see its going to be a pain in the arse im just going to wait until i rebuild my cylinder head then the inlet will be out of the way:nice:

The solid ones usually come in 3 different hardness ratings, the softest, usually around 60a should not cause any rattling... but if you are really concerned about rattling keep the OEM or Spoon rear mount and just swap the side ones for solid units, the rear mount is really what gives most of the vibration.

Innovative has 4 hardness a65 ,a75,a85 and a95
i'm running a75 ...The car will vibrate some as you go with a harder mount

it vibrates because its on the sub frame? hmm well ill see how i get on with the spoon ones
