Tyre pressure

yeah but remember the ek9 is not actually a normal car, so i think the tyre pressures they put are there for a reason. but it really depends on which country you are & the climate it has if you ask me. :blinx:

my car seems to feel great with the reccomended pressures of 35 front and 33 rear!

most cars are reccomended to run more in the front than rear due to the additional weight of the engine and since this will put a greater force on the front tyres during cornering. so if you are running standard tyre size of 195/55/15 i would stick to the reccomended settings!

we are crazy :drive:

:nono: we r a bit arnt we :blinx:

tho a fact is steering wheel becomes harder on low PSI compared to very smooth in turn of higher PSI... petrol consumption is increased too

however my theory is with stock power figures car is better driven with recommended pressure where as big power benefits from lower front PSI :D ...

indeed, your are correct on all counts :nice: also its worth noting that i run on R compound tires and always have :)

I tried 35F/33R today, feels harsher over uneven roads but it turns in much sharper:)

Changed mine to 28F/32R, better!

more oversteer but it really depends on your preference, i ran 30/30 on RE001 when i drove the uphill last night & damn this car feels like it's on rails.

i m using F=31 R=30.But its true that higher psi will cause more understeer at the front.
My fronts tyres r neova ad07 195/55, the rear r parada spec2 195/50.

uve got bigger wheels on the front then?

any reason why u chose this set-up?

the reason is my suspention is harder at the front. That's y i m using 55,so it will not so bumpy at the front.Secondly,i believe bigger wheels at the front have stronger lauching traction, correct me if i m wrong.

you can NOT steer with the steeringwheel if the car looses traction up front. trust me, ive been there, its scary :nerv:

the rear sliding out however IS something you can counter steer out of or just mash the gas and it usually straightens out.

You can correct understeer! You have to catch it fast though; straighten up and brake to get the weight on the front wheels then immediatly tucking the nose into the corner. You have to be fast. Some trackday sessions let you learn and practise this on a skid-pan section in your vehicle OR a special car with shopping trolley wheels. Still got to have enough space to correct it though.

Burnz18c your right in your thinking about the launching traction, but you mean bigger tires at the front, not bigger wheels.
