So doing my first track day tomorrow, (actually track night) at knockhill it's 4 hours open pit, am I likely to need extra fuel? I'm thinking yes. But anyone know for sure?

Depending on how much if the 4 hours you're planning on being out but IMO, Yes definitely.

Yeah agree. All depends how much you will actually be out. No harm in taking some to be safe

Full tank will be fine for 4hours unless your turbo haha

Usually about 1/4 tank per 15 minute session for me.

So if you do 4 sessions, you'll need a tank, bring a jerry can with you too.

Yip def take a jerrycan of super with you when I done trackdays I always needed the extra

It's easier looking at it than looking for it :D

I have used £80+ of super unleaded on a trackday easily

I normally put just under half a tank of fuel in the car then bring 2 x 20L containers of fuel. Sometimes I bring some home if I don't get out as many runs, but its better looking at it

I'll be there, I garentee you you will not be out for that whole time. I would advise that you bring an extra 20l of fuel with you just to make sure you can drive home afterwards lol

Yup as others say extra fuel will be needed.

Best to fill up as close to circuit, then have a 20l can.

Il see you up there...its good fun!

Managed to borrow one of a friend were setting off soon over 150 miles to get there, will see some of you later.

Sounds like this is going to be a good turn up, will see everyone there

I'm leaving straight from work at half 3 so will be up the back of 4! See everyone then :nice:

Yeah agree with the busy part tbh
