Recently had the 9 checked over and my lower torque mounts are perished and also my rear engine mount. I use my 9 for a daily drive any comments or advice on to go for honda stuff or aftermarket....

depends what you use it for.

if you can live with and can afford it, go for aftermarket firmer mounts and do away with the lower mounts altogether

Simauto can get you oem ones at a good price to.. I did my back mount and two torque mounts only last week

Thanks for the input guys i'm tempted to go with the spoon mounts would be a nice first mod on the car, you think it would be too hard for daily drive? How come you do not need the torque dampers after I fit these?

hey i know this thread is a couple of months old but i have the same problem as you and im just going to buy a set of these

Civic EG EK Engine Billet Motor Torque Mount B20 D16 on eBay (end time 09-May-11 07:25:25 BST)

£60 posted and should last unlike the standard ones which are alot weaker then you could get an engine torque damper too they are around £ 50, saves changing all the main engine mounts if they are fine and they cost a bomb !

They look mint mate and dont look cheap at all. mmm, i dont really need them as i have hasport 62a street engine mounts. My torque mounts are knackered and i should take them off, another job on my list

Spoon mounts are not as stiff as other aftermarkets are; would be good for street and daily use. They are not low cost tho, for how soft they are. I was considering these at one point as mine are to stiff/harsh on street.

The torque dampers are for added stiffness, also helps the life span of the rubber compound as its not flexing as much with the torque dampers on. This is very easy to install, so if you wanted a softer ride, you can simply disconnect it when not needed.

...im talking myself into these again in this post. lol
