Ticking noise from engine???

I went to look at an eg6 yesterday to buy it and when it was started there was a ticking noise coming from the engine. It gets quicker when the engine is rev'd. After a while the noise stops but if you rev it it starts again but then stops after a minute. Anyone have any idea what it could be? I don't have a video of it but I found one on youtube, it sounds just like this. YouTube - engine bay 2

That sounds like the big end bearing is gone stay away!

I thought it was just the valves need adjusting.

No way, if the sound is the same as the video, something is wrong with the motor
