takata's are these fake


Can't say 100% but compared to this: Warning: FAKE TAKATA HARNESS - DO YOU HAVE ONE? - Hardtuned.net

...they seem genuine, or at least a very good fake?

Although the eye bolts do look different to the genuine ones on that link, and there's no L or R stickers on the strap clips even though it's brand new?

Also, no unique serial number on the tags?

these are 100% fake the buckle is totally the wrong colour . stay well clear .
 
the stitching is wonky and the ad does not say they are authentic . I would put my car on these being fake .
 
thought they were but thought i would ask would these be dangerous or just not very good fakes but would be fine to use?

shame he is so far away from me needs someone close to look at them?

It's an absolute gamble, I'm sure the likelihood is that they would hold up just as well as the genuine ones when/if you needed them to, but do you really want to take that chance if they are the only thing stopping you from going through the windscreen?

Not worth the risk, don't buy cheap in areas where safety is concerned in my opinion.

Doubt they would be dangerous however I wouldn`t use these in my car as they havent been tested . keep your cash and wait for the genuine article , I got mine second hand for £200 .

Wonder if its worth getting one and try to have a test done on it and compare to a real one? might just ignore and forgot about them.lol

so hard to find takata's need some for my car ready for racing but too scared getting fakes might just get luke's or something?kayleigh

but look at his ebay user name
he also always has them for sale

seen them go for like £120 ish on his auctions before

if you want real takatas, there are some comapnies that do them in UK if not many US such as weksos, ICB
 
yeah i know the olny problem is i have seen and heard of people paying £600 a pair for takata's and find out there fake aswell brought from big companies.

The fakes were that good lol just shows maybe its not worth getting them?thanks kayleigh
 
if you do want them, companies such as weksos and ICB will be authentic amongst some of the big companies out there
 
Pretty sure the buckle is done up with Trox head screws where that one is done up with cross heads. So i say fake aswell ! Lol
