Hey dudes, just bled the clutch system, special thanks to blinx9900 and olly for the info on doing it right.

First thing I realized was the clutch fluid reservoir was completely empty:shocked:, so I filled it up and bled out, and now the clutch is workin fine.....BUT....

I was hearing a squeaking noise before but thought it was jus the clutch pedal, but it's not. When I press the clutch pedal, I hear this creeky squeak and sounds like it's comming from inside the transmission box or on the bleeding thingy.

Sprayed some WD40 on it but it still squeaks,

Has this ever happened to any one before?

Glad you got the first part sorted :nice: my clutch used to squeak all the time, i always figured it was the pressure plate, the sound didn't go away until the clutch was so worn it started to slip which furthers my belief that it was just the pressure plate. It never bothered me but i did think it was kinda funny, hopefully yours is the same (no big deal).

I have the same problem pal....I used to think it was just the pedal, until I was in a multi-storey car park with my window down, and shifting it makes a horrid noise, like a squeaky creaking sound :?: let me know if you find out what it is, I'm not too competent with working on my own car, so would like to know what it is likely to be before I take it somewhere!

I've just learnt to live with mine, it's always squeaked.

I've read you can lube up the master cylinder which will help, and on the actual pedal where it pivots.

I've only sprayed WD40 so far but this weekend I'll take a deeper look into it and let you guys know what I find....

wd40 will work for a few hours, you need grease.

it could be a plastic bushing on the pedal pivot point that is worn. Take a peek underneath.

Otherwise if it is emanating from the transmission specifically around the rubber boot near the slave cylinder, then the fork is dry and you have to lubricate that.

I think you're close RagingAngel......the sound is definitely not comming from the inside (where the pedals are).....I had someone press the pedal slowly while I listened closely in the engine bay and the creeking (which when you listen good enough can be seen and felt as a vibration) appears to be comming from near the slave cylinder....

Just to be clear, the slave cylinder is the thing with the bleeder on it right! If it is, the squeak seems to be comming from there.....

observing this, I then proceeded to give this thing a WD40 bath:). and when I pressed the pedal you could actually see the WD40 vibrating an seeping further into the areas on the cylinder!

you must remove the 2 bolts that hold the slave cylinder in place and then pull the rubber boot off.

If you're lucky, the squeak is caused by the pin of the slave pushing against the cup of the fork. A good axle grease here will solve the problem - though I highly recommend getting some Honda urea grease.

If that doesn't solve the problem, you will have to lubricate the part that moves the throw-out/release bearing. That is going to be a challenge with the transmission still attached to the car.

ok...about the Honda urea grease, does the Honda dealer sell this? and is it similar to water resistant grease?

Sorry to thread hi-jack here, but wanted to know if this squeak was having any bearing of the 'feel' of the clutch?

I've noticed a slight creak from mine at times, sometimes the clutch feels quite light (for periods of 20 mins +) and other times it can feel heavy/normal - this is when the creak is heard.

Do you experience anything similar?

From what I've experienced with other cars, the clutch could be near the end of its service life. I would try bleeding the master/slave to see if the feel improves.

My friend had a similar condition and eventually his clutch ended up breaking.

Got the same problem, thought I was just going crazy for a while though!

I think I'm just going to get a new clutch when this one goes!

have you tried spraying a little duck oil or engine oil onto ware the slave cylinder presses onto the realese bearing leaver? that fixed my squeek....
