Rite lads just wondering is it dodgy to split them and spray them instead ove buying real 1's as their crazy money??
I know their is threads up before but im looking to see like would they let in water, fog up etc??
Thanks:nice:

if you do it right they shouldn't fog up or let water in if your really worried you could put on some extra silicone adhisive to make sure they are sealed!

Sometimes they leak, sometimes they don't. I would spend the money on CTR's. Well worth the money, and they look so much better.

When you diy headlights its almost impossible to get the colour match right. japperformanceparts have a few sets at the moment for £150

like elchunk have said..add extra silicone adhesive..it would do the trick

i did this! after you put them back together, use sealant around it to keep water from comming in, after you MUST no put it straight back on your car, i made that mistake and it fogged up after a few hours.

leave it out to dry completely for at lease 24hours, until the sealant is hard and the moister from it has dryed up.

what colour is the background colour in the ek9 headlamps as i want to know which paint to buy

dont think you can get the correct colour afaik but i do no my mate did this and they flaked up but id put that down to dodgy spray , imo go for the real deal mate unless your really hard up then diy it and make sure you do a good job as you will look a tit with bodged wannabe ek9 lights , hth

Tried this first headlight i done fine looked really good and the offside one i didnt notice it was slightly touching the side of the oven... think you can guess what happened :nerv:
