Where can you buy a sports cat for the replacement of oem cat?
My oem cat is dead, and seems like nobody is selling it:please:
For 2.5' out size jdm length?

Im in same boat come oct when my mot is up.

Im just gonna put it through MOT test with no cat and see what happens as i know emissions are fine.

Yes i got the info saying they will be checking for missing "cat" also in the test.

If you want a contact number for a friend who breaks hondas` in Dungannon pm me,or maybe you know him already.

I got a sports cat from a company called A.A.S in Newcastle awesome quality. We're you located?

Dont want to get anyone's hopes up too much but.....

I work for European Exhaust and Catalysts in Hampshire. We are one of the UKs largest manufacturers of replacement exhaust systems and Cats, not to mention suppliers of Lambdas, and every exhaust component you could think of, We supply Eurocarparts, and many motor factors over the Uk, Europe and international.

We do also produce small number of Sports cats, with a range of different sizes in 100-200 cpsi. We supply Miltek, Morgan and other well known brands.

Anyhoooo.... I am the one and only CAD technician at the company and I am thinking about knocking up some drawings for the production of a JDM fitment 100cell sports cat. To be available in 2.25 & 2.5".

Price I wont know until I chat with the production managers, but I'm extremely sure they will be cheaper than many of the ones available on the market for now.

I'm thinking if there is enough interest, I might start up a Group buy as it will be cheaper to run a batch of say 10-15 units.....

I will try to keep you lot posted in the near future.

Sounds ace man. Defo keep us updated

Had a talk with my director about it and he seems enthusiastic. He wants to use it as a project to collect some marketing data. Going to test the emissions with decat, then with a 200 cell on it, and then if I can get my hands on or borrow a Dc2 or Ek9 oem cat, we will also test that as a comparison at a later date.

He is also happy to make a batch of these, so I think a group buy is definitely on the cards.

These arn't goin to be all fancy polished with tigs welds, They will be a good grade stainless, with good mig welds. But lets face it, anything polished tarnishes within a week or two once it gets hot and wet, and don't quote me on the welding yet, our migs are more than up to the job, but until I get confirmation, I wont know for sure.

Will try to create a 57-60mm inlet and outlet so it will work collectively with most ek4, ek9 and dc2. (as that's what oem is) http://www.ek9.org/forum/air-intake-exhaust/37158-cat-comparison.html

Price, not sure just yet until we discuss further. But i should hope under £100...fingers crossed.

My first one may be getting made towards the end of next week.
