no it stays the same.
they definatly work. The thermostat opens at a lower acting so the coolant circulates thru the rad at a lower temp, and the thermoswitch bliss the fan in at a lower acting too.
It's a acceptable abstraction to get the thermostat and thermoswitch installed at the aforementioned time, or they'll be effectivley alive adjoin anniversary other, or, alluringly a bureaucracy like cyek9's above..

Thermostat
for those who live in cooler climates, I advise against this modification completely.
The reason being is that if you are still running off a stock ecu, these two mods together will cause the car to run in "warm-up" mode which means running rich.
If you really want to lower your engine temps properly, I would suggest getting a larger radiator - true that if you start the cooling (t-stat opening) effect earlier, the temps would be more manageable, but if it was really that easy to lower your temps, then radiator companies would all be out of business.
let me rephrase that then.
The radiator has the capacity to carry/hold more heat which leads to it being far more effective in competition or environments that have higher ambient temperatures.
Simply installing these two pieces IS effective but would not hold out in the long run. I've seen temps stay far more stable with a larger radiator and the stock thermostat.
This is not going by an aftermarket gauge which far more accurate than the cluster unit.
