Hi again gents!

Right after looking at various threads ive really grown on the idea of going for the spoon stroker kit, with the added torque and HP with alot better potential and Power quality..

I want to build a very good all rounder "all motor" for now my aim is to hit a good realiable 210-220HP with a pretty decent torque figure...... And Stroking to the B18 seems to acheive this nicely without too much toruble... I would like to avoid head work for now, im not sure what kind of figures you can acheive without messing around with the head but im sure its around 200hp, correct me if im wrong... Even 210hp would be very nice.

Ive found a site that sells this kit, Ive never heard of them. Has anyone used this web site before? As the kit seems very cheap from here, or do they normally go for around that price?

Thats around 600GBP! Very good price.

Much appricaited, once again mate.

You are a real credit to this site. Dont think ive ever been on a forum where there is someone that seems to have knowledge on every query and at the same time always willing to help.

Sorry, just thought i'd say :)

So can i ask, is this the normal price to pay for this kit? As im surprised how well priced it is?

I am also interested in this kit as i can't keep up with my friend FD2-R or the EP-R that 200hp is it wheel or BHP?

the way i look at it is when you see a price in usd and the company is in the usa etc, the price you see in usd, just imagine that is the final price and when you get it anything you get in change is a bonus, because after you deal with shipping, import tax etc its not usually that far off the price to start with in usd

i would go for it though, looks a good setup

I wouldnt say you could get 200WHP without headwork on the B18.

I woud say realistically on a good tune 210hp @ flywheel on ECU etc..... That would be pretty insane on the EK9 though with a MF factory gear set r final drive/lightened flywheel etc. I would evenutually like more though, will have to see how caried away i get.

Ive played with the turbos etc, want something new.

You reckon the final price will be another 600GBP on top of that through takes and shipping?

I would say up to 300GBP max but not double....

it would surprise you, i ordered ek9 carpet gear knob etc etc, and by the time it was at my door it had more than doubled to over 600 pound, and ive herd the same story with items more expensive, email them for a quote to your door and ask them how they will deal with the import tax and get them to send it was a gift

dam i never realized this.

Well thanks for the tip buddy!

im pessuming the pistons are larger on the kit? Or is the increase in displacement all to do with the longer stroke? As im wondeing if the B16B head has to be machined to fit the new pistons? Or does the bore stay the same?

Bore stays the same, just a longer stroke to increase the displacement to 1.8. :)

thats great news! less money haha!

thanks for the conformation

And I would recommend getting the 81.25mm kit for over sized applications and get your block bored out by .25mm to make sure your engine seals up again properly when its put back together:cool:

spoon stroker kit for b16b discontinued tryed to order one for japan......

even if discontinued you can buy teg kit off honda... slightly more pricey though. they are exactly the same spoon sports just balance it slightly more,,, but as it is type r crank its amazing standard. i have seen a b16b stroked, with just exhaust system and spoon ecu... 209bhp at flywheels... and 149 flbs. thats fairly decent figures. the kit ecu head gasket and bearings (which are seperate and costly off honda was in around 3k - 3.5k euro not v cheap but excellent quality.... this is excluding lab!!!

alternativly ya could buy a dc2 engine for about 1600 euro and sell b16b for about 1200 standing you feck all..... i would buy engine personally

just my two cents:nice:

@webartie, i see what your saying about the teg engine straight in but i have big plans and wanted a fresh build(preferbly) Although if its that much cheaper its definietely an option...

Is there no way of getting hold of this spoon stroker kit then?

No companies sell it anymore??

There is a company here in Ireland that sells them for €1000 delivered. Im sure he would ship to the UK. I could get you there number if you want?

He's just annouced that he's closing down over on DTD! And he'll be starting a new venture in January:(
