Can you specify what engine you have? The spoon stroker kit brings the b16b up to a b18c so if you have one there is no need!!! You should concentrate on breathing mods and headwork and if you have money a final drive is supposed to be the business!!! Who can get it for that cheap? thats very cheap...

Ok my Specs are

B18c5 - standard
b18c ecu
98Spec Box LSD
DC Sport cat
DC 4 Branch
Skunk2 catback
Skunk2 Pro intake
AEM V2 induction

and still not happy

i wanna rebuild it

I don't think Spoon stroker kit is the way to go mate, you already have a B18 block, the kit is for stroking the B16b to a B18....

Might be worth looking into headwork, some new cams/valve springs/retainers etc in combination with a new engine management system like Hondata so you can map it properly!

Or like honda=god mentioned, final drive would be a good option! Not tried it myself but heard good things!

spoon stroker kit will turn your B18c5 into a b18c5 so no point unless your engine is shot and your after a new crank , rods, pistons in a convinient package

From what I can tell from your post, if you modify Naturally Aspirated, you are not going to be happy.

If you are just going to be happy with the "feeling" of 220-230ish hp, leave your engine as it is and just upgrade your transmission. However, if you have the urge to want more, then boost is your only option.

there would be no performance benefit to using the spoon stroker kit, you would just be rebuilding your motor, and about the cams its not true, you don't HAVE to use spoon cams...

That's not entirely true since he says he's got a B18C5. The Spoon stroker uses the P73-00 JDM pistons for more compression albeit slight - they are also selectively balanced.

i knew you were going to bring up the damn balance thing  your are correct though :nice:

So is it good idea??/ bcz i wanna atleast rebuild the motor

no, if you rebuild your motor you wont need the crank or the rods so it would be a waste of money. Better to just buy the parts you need separately, it will be cheaper.

just get new pistons or if you're handy and don't want to spend too much, just re-ring the motor and get new rod bearings.

Since the head should come off, replace the valve seals too.

May I ask why you want to rebuild your motor? What is the reason?

my target is 220 or 230
blouk i know will give me da stroker kit for 500euros
fukin cheap
so WHy not rebuild when u only spending 500euroz!!! why not:angry2:

pistons, rings and bearings will still be cheaper than 500 euro... if you want to buy the kit then buy it, perhaps you can sell the crank and rods and turn a nice profit :nice:

any details of the place that you get spoon stroker kit from ?

blinx, how much would u.s itr crank and rods cost from honda in u.s from a vendor ?

im hopin to get new parts together to have b18c6 bottom end built over next 12 months or more (probably all oem) but need to weigh up cost of just buyin spoon kit or go to honda get parts

you cannot buy the crank from honda, you have to buy it from acura here, my cost with a wholesale account is $900 for the crank only!! very expensive!!
