Spoon/Mugen low temp fan switch & Thermostat

Is there any downsides to these when you use your car for everyday driving ?
 
kind of no point unless its really modded, i have them but i generate a lot more heat than an NA car...

I honestly think it be a waste of money unless your going to be tracking the car then even still upgrading to a larger rad would usually be the next step. Real reason i upgrade mine is because OEM fan switch was broken and OEM
Thermostat was not opening, if i had no problems i would never have changed them.

FYI i ended up getting the BuddyClub fan switch which was a good bit cheaper :nice:
 
Buying these things on a car that sees no track duty and/or has no provisions to ignore the coolant temps would as, Tsuchinoko stated, affect your AFR.

It's not necessary on a street car unless you're putting out some crazy power or if you're living in a very hot climate.
