SPOON ECU!!! It actually works!


Aye need to compression test the engine and get it out the car its in the now and also remove the brakes then get everything stuffed into my shanner lol.
 
my friend gives me his spoon ecu for my b16a2 (vti)...if i upgrate my car with camshafts from b16b or b18c5 it will be ok?? or i need a spoon ecu for type r??? if i put retainers and springs from itr or ctr it will be ok at 9000rmp??? thanks for your time :)

what kind of spoon ecu is your mates

DO NOT use a b16a2 ecu with a b18c or b16b
or a b18c/b16b ecu on a b16a2
 
I wouldnt TBH. Get it mapped on a chipped ECU and crome instead.
 
i've just found a dyno printout when my b16b had a spoon ecu with AEM v2 and full spoon exhaust fitted. Will i post it up??

I have a b16b wit a very similar spec except i have a J's racing induction kit and do not have the leads either....should i expect numbers like these if i buy a spoon ecu?? thanks:)

Max RPM is a bit high for Spoon ECU? Still good numbers though although you seem to be losing loads through transmission your wheel horse power seems quite low to me.

just after reading through this and curious to know if anyone done the comparison and if so what were the results?
 
Having looked at the link to funky power I'm going to try finding one of these for my ek4 but my only worry is would my standard internals be able to handle the 9000rpm redline? Anyone on here ever used one with a ek4 or B16a2 what's it like?
 
I'll have mine by March 13th too so will get a comparsion run done also (don't even know if anyone else was planning to do one? - just going by ian's post ^^)
