Have you verified that the ECU works in another identical car? Troubleshooting the mechanic/electronic way is simple. You find a car identical to yours and plug in the Spoon ECU to see if it works. If it does not you need to check the ECU board for burnt out sections. Also...this sounds stupid....recheck that it is the proper ecu for the motor/car.

Also I don't think OBD2b cars have immobilizers unless it's aftermarket. I know mine sure doesn't.

My car isn't JDM either....and it doesn't have an immobilizer...stock or otherwise. I wouldn't know how to go about removing the imobilizer.

Yes it does have an imob

All obd2a onwards (except JDM) have an imob

I wouldnt of though a spoon ecu would have one though

your car will not work just by plugging in the ecu as yes your car does have an immobilizer which by using the spoon ecu it will not allow the fuel pump to run . best to buy the right ecu for your car tbh matey

how i can fuel pump to run with this ecu?? just to try this ecu? i read somewhere that i must ground a pinout from the ecu and then fuel pump will run.. is that true??

yeah if u ran a wire across to make pump work it will start but imo use the ecu for the car or it aint worth while

No point running a EK9 ecu on a B16A2

EK9 spoon ECU limits at 9100, B16A2 can't cope with that sort of revs let alone make power anywhere near that high

Not worth the hassle at all :blinx:

The immobilizer should not be a problem when running a spoon ecu. Its the factory ecu that contains the immobilizer. Does car run on standard ecu fine?

the car runs fine with standard ecu!! spoon ecu have the imm remove but my car have imm thats the problem!! of course i ll not rev it past 8200rpm!! i want just to try it... maybe later sell it or exchange my valvetrain with a b16b running this ecu!!

Haha good luck not revving it past 8200

I've got a spoon ECU in my ek9, once it hits vtec you just want to keep revving it and revving it........

By imm you mean immobilizer? It shouldn't matter if the standard ecu has a immob. once you remove that ecu and plug in the spoon ecu it should fire up. I had a spoon ecu running in my type r and my friend bought it off me for his vti, worked with no hassle.

yes IMM=immobilizer...if your car is usdm and it have IMM you have problem with spoon ecu if your car is jdm its ok.. thats coz the immobilizer system works in two parts, the first is in the steering column, which detects the transponder key and checks to make sure it has the right code it is broadcasting, then once that is verified it sends a signal to the ECU to tell the immobilizer in the ECU to cool it and let the car start. a non-immobilized ecu start it right up is only true if the immobilizer in the ignition system is also disabled, or only if you have a transponder key that matches the ignition. you can't use a non-transponder key, and non-immobilized ECU to start up an immobilized honda because the ignition component of the immobilizer system is still there

The car was a UK spec vti. They have the immob. circuit board in ecu and also black box under steering to receive code from key... Your not getting any spark either I guess?

the engine start running for two seconds and then cut off!!!

So its just cutting the fuel pump. I would try locate the fuel pump output pin on the ecu to see if its giving signal and to which wire on the loom its sending power to.

i think that the A16 pinout wire its coming from the fuel pump... so what i must do to start fuel pump runing?? cut this wire or ground it?

Need to give it a 12v feed I believe. Is there no voltage when you turn ignition on at pin16?
