Solved

Real peace of work this guy, his last "unofficial" mail to me I just received. I wonder why he didn't send this through eBay lol.

"Hi,

Ive looked at the pictures and seen the slight imperfection, as for the seats, there 100% what is in the picture so i've done nothing wrong, i've never stated them to be Bride Japan, if you had asked me are these Bride Japan i would of said no. I'm am now working with paypal to resolve this issues.

The seats are no different from the picture so I don't really no what the problem is, I can even send you the advert picture and ull see its the same seat, i've not used a different picture and i've not lied. These seats are still expensive to buy regardless if there Bride China, Bride Japan seats are not FIA approved so your paying a lot of money for nothing.

Now i have to work with paypal to get my money back as you have messed up my account, if i have to i will take it to court as well"

So he'll take me to court because he sold me fake parts on eBay without mentioning anywhere they were fake and after lying about it when I asked him. Good luck on that.

Lol the **** is trying to scare you with court now. Pathetic :angry2:

As said, hope you get this sorted bud. This happened to me before but with a grill, seller said it was real but when i got it, it was clearly fake. These people should get shot.

Ek4,

show to Ebay the message where you ask him if these are "real Bride", and explain that it is logic that real it's the same than "genuine" in this context.

When somebody asks this in this context (with pics showing a REAL item and not an "imaginary item"), it's obvious this person is asking if the piece is a genuine branded one, and not a copy/replica. And more in the Ebay world...where buyers ask this continuously.
It's obvious what the word "real" means in this context.

I have seen his facebook. It's full of pics of Bride seat replicas. I know this because these pics are from a chinese distributor. I have seen the same pics directly from the distributor in China lots of times...

Has he his Paypal account messed up? Tell him this little secret bellow these lines:

.i..

:p

what a sh*t head. he's not going to take this to court. stand your ground buddy. what a turd

He buddy

whether or not they are genuine bride parts is one thing but at the very least they are "Not as described /Advertised" and this is enough to get your money back.

He does not state that the item received may be different to that pictured and all you have to do is show eBay the pictures of what you received in comparison to what he had advertised

the guy doesn't have a leg to stand on and he knows it

I wouldn't worry you should get that money back no Probs

Anyone knows a vendor who sells real Bride of Japan seats who could help me out here?

I need to take pictures of the seats and send them over to him together with the picture used in the add so he can state the ones I received are copies. Apparently the seller has been calling Paypal a few times to make up excuses and probably tell them it's all my fault because I didn't ask if they were Bride Japan so I guess they are starting to believe him now... And the seats do look like the real Brides in his ad, until you have a closer look.

From Paypal:

"In order to continue with the investigation of your complaint, we must
request documentation to support your claim that the item is not authentic.
Please obtain a document from an unbiased, third-party, such as a dealer,
appraiser, or another individual or organization that is qualified in the
area of the item in question (other than yourself), which clearly
identifies the item as not authentic. If possible, the document should
include a serial number and description of the item, and must be on
letterhead that includes the name, address, and phone number of the
individual, business, or organization so that PayPal may contact them if
necessary."

I wonder if theres anyway you could get in touch with Bride themselves? Surely it would be of their benefit to help take down someone selling fakes?

Also theres no way anyone could argue against the manufacturer themselves if they say they're fake

Thanks, I already mailed Rising Sun Performance in the Netherlands about it because I know they are official Bride dealers to so they will definately know the difference. Also mailed AVB in Belgium, they also import parts from Japan from time to time so they might be able to help me out to.

I'll keep those links in mind in case they don't have the time to help me out.

Not sure if you've sorted this out yet or not but I heard back from Bride Japan via a facebook message. This is what it says:

Dear Mr.Williams

Hello!
I'm Hayashida in BRIDE Co., LTD.
I'm sorry for reply slower.
I saw your picture, and it's deemed fake product.

Please look at these picture.

1. This BRIDE logo is a little wide.

2. real MAZIORA sticker size is half of this.

3. Real side frame isn't straight like this.
(Please look at this picture's frame. The real is recessing.

4. Stitch of back is not stripe. The real seat is like green line.

Best regards.

ebay gets a thumbs down for me... never know if the stuff is genuine or not..

Well, I got my money back today. Seller is now threatening(?) me he is going to pay me a visit to get his seats back if I don't send them back. Paypal told me to get rid of them a few days ago and I brought them to a local car shop to have them disassembled for a small price so they are probably already gone.

So I don't know what to do now. Maybe I will inform local authorities and Sussex police force. So if anything happens to my family or my property they will know where to look. I will also inform my neighbour who works with the police to keep an eye out.

Please think twice before you buy from him. I even mailed him I wanted to work something out together (maybe a small partial refund so I could hopefully get half of my money back when I could sell the damaged seats) so we don't have to go through that dispute but he just ignored me. Now all of a sudden he wants to work it out his way and get his seats back. Two can play the ignore game and it already cost me enough money and effort last few weeks.

This was also the last time ever I will buy Bride seats, there's just too many fake sh!t around.
