so about a month ago i noticed that when i accelerate through 1st, 2nd, and 3rd from about 2000 to 6000rpm or more there is a shudder in the car.
it only happens when ON the gas, if i let off the gas the shudder goes away.
its not violent or anything but very noticable.
do you guys think that my LSD is going bad? or transmission is on the fritz?
my car is a 1999 EK9 and its got 90,000 k on it.
any info would be good.

sounds like it mite be ther torsional dampening springs in the clutch disc, does the car pull to one side when ya let your foot off the throttle?

all new oem mounts were put on the car about 1 year ago when i bought the car, i think that with oem from honda they shouldnt be too rough or too stiff,
and the car never pulls to any side under accel or de-celleration...
i do plan on changing the clutch disc and flywheel soon, going with the spoon flywheel and clutch disc set.
but until then the shudder/vibration is bothersome....

I'm pretty sure this will solve your issue :nice: keep us informed.

RVM, maybe there was misunderstanding, my real question is if the LSD could cause this?
the car still shudders with the new mounts,
i just dont want to replace the flywheel and clutch and not overhaul the LSD while its all apart.
thanks guys..

I`m sorry to highjack the thread, but my car actually does pull to the right when i release the gas pedal. Can you please tell me more about the torsional dampening springs in the clutch disc?

good question, i dont mind you jumping on, only knowledge can come from it, i need to know also...
