dear frenz,

i've read that skunk2 stage2 is the best cams for street use. well im using rite now...but the power is lacking. maybe there's something wrong with the set up?ive already retune campulley.so there are fine now.so here's my setup

b16a engine(eg halfcut) head unpolished
std piston
std retainers
skunk2 valve spring
skunk2 stage2 cams
skunk2 pro series intake mani
b16b rebore TB
k&n filter
custom airbox with air funnel from front bumper
std gearbox non LSD

i refer to my skunk2 dealer and he not much a help. i dont know if there's racism involves there. so frenz its u guys that i can count on...let me know if there's anything that i could fix this setup...

thanx

get an ecu and map it up

the old ecu is only sending in enough petrol for the old cams so your not going to make much more power with the old one

ops. my mistake. i already tuned my emanage. fuel is enough at every rpm...

bro, change ur piston..Go for PCT (B16B) piston for budget...type of ur cam need more compression...the higher compression u get,the more utilize ur camshaft...

I heard that to. I dont rate the skunk2 quality to be honest. I know a few people that have had problems with there stuff.

every cam company has had cam problems at some point, i have seen all cams break:
-crower
-toda
-skunk2
-crane
-etc...

skunk2 is fine, they make good cams, as long as installation is done properly (dont use impact gun to secure the camgear) and you use the right vavlesprings all should be ok.

i don know about your mod but i have rebore my block to 83mm aftermarket piston
daily drive and sometime drag fun about 2 years.

about cam recommanded use valve spring same brand bcoz of spring tension.

I understand what your saying, i have a stock block with cast pistons and make 333whp, i have run as much as 25psi making 400whp, and i beat the crap out of the car, but you won't see me suggesting everybody push there OEM block to 333whp. See what I'm saying here? Some of us push things to the limit, we may have a little more experience, or understand that we are testing things, and when you push limits and test things you must be prepared for failure. When i give advise i try to think of the average user, who only has 1 car, who cannot afford to blow up there motor, etc...

i get it mr blinx for durable just go for .25/.50.
we are honda always dreaming of power.
i still learning.i have pushing the limit with b18c oem block to 86mm resleeve to 2 times blow, now built-up b20crvtev.
just from my experience.

86

x2. I have seen the wear at first hand!:(

as above! :(
don't forget using too stiff of a valve spring will cause any cam to wear prematurely...

thank u all for the infos. i appreciate it...one thing suddenly came thru my mind.how accurate is the dyno machine coz at my place there r many machines but vary in results.so how to determine which one have the accurate result?
