Hello everyone!

I'm making some show plates for my EK9. The design is going to be the forums logo :D
I've got a company sorting me out a proof at the moment.


It's going to be this image in reverse. So white car with white writing on a black background.
Thought it would be a good way to show support for the forum?
Anyway I'm ordering 50 to start with so enough for 25 pairs of plates.

I'm going to get a local engineering company to make 50 alluminium plates to stick the decals to.

The decals work out at £1.72 each.
Will find a price for the alluminium plates.

Once I have the proof from the company I'll post it up here.

If anyone Is interested in some, I would be happy to make you some up and send them :)
(That's if they're any good)
I wouldn't want to make any profit so they will cost you what they cost me.
Although I think it would be nice to maybe try and raise some money for a charity by making these plates so a small donation would be cool.

More info and exact prices once I get further along.

Just gauging interest :)
 
Well I've had the proof back and here it is!! Really happy with it.


Estimated delivery 5th of November.
Still waiting on the engineering company for a price for the plates.
 
Another update.
Plates are ordered and currently being made, they are being made out of 2mm aluminium and will be water jet cut with rounded edges.
Total prices have been calculated, they are as follows.
Ek9.org Decals £1.72 x 2
Aluminium plate £3.89 x2
Postage £2.50
Charity donation £5.00
Total £18.72 inc postage.

The charity I have decided to donate to is a local charity to me called Swindon and District Animal Haven.
They take in animals from all backgrounds and help rehome them. They are currently updating their accommodation for the animals, so donations would go towards this and vets bills etc.

I should have the plates all made up mid November :D would make a good Christmas present for yourself ;)
 
The plates came today!! They look great, good quality and perfect edges.

And then when I got home the stickers were there waiting for me! Arrived a week early! Thanks to stickermule. All the way from the US too!


I will get a set made up and put on my car this weekend.

When they are for sale I'll make a post in the for sale section, thanks for looking :D

First set made, need to perfect the application of the transfer! But they look good to me!!

Thanks for the interest :D I will get some more made up soon and post in the for sale section (need to perfect the sticker process first) :)

Yeh it would be great to have lots of people with the ek9.org plates :D I will bring them to shows too if anyone wants some on the day. Will be going to Japfest at Combe for sure as its my local jap show!

Yes they are! But I haven't advertised them for sale because I can't post in the for sale section yet, as I haven't got enough posts to my name. Was going to bring some along to Japfest....
 
Seeing as some of the proceeds are for charity we can bend the rules slightly and get them advertised in the for sale section.
If I post the advert on your behalf and then you can simply hi jack the thread @B16Swt
 
These look great I would take a pair when they are ready. Bring them to japfest if that suits mate.

I'll go and make a couple of sets up now.
Or if preferred I can send them not stuck down, they're a bit tricky.
Will get some Jiffy bags over the weekend for postage if people would like some.

If you write out the advert in the correct format as shown in the forsale rules and pm it over to me and i'l copy and paste it up
 
I have made 4 plates this evening. @b16 mini is putting a for sale post on my behalf in the for sale section.

The plates may not be perfect, as the application is blinking tricky! :nerv: But I will do my best for you all.
