Anyone shipped alloys abroad? Who did you use and what sort of price??

typical issue for countries in the European south. I have realised that prices will vary from 40 to whatever for shipping to countries like Italy, Greece and so on. Tegiwa offers good deals on shipping wheels. Having high shipping rates is too bad, as the demand for uk based parts is relatively high.

when i would send one rim from germany to uk with DHL, on rim would cost 22€ (~17gbp) and it has a insurance up to 500€ (~400gbp).
I like that service, they are fast and it doesn't cost that much. I mean they also do the formula one cargo ;)

maybe you can find some more informations on DHL | Global | English :nice:

hope that this helps you.

i use this "inbetweener" company.....
Transglobal Express - Cheap Parcel Delivery with UPS, TNT & DHL International Courier & Worldwide Parcel Delivery Service | International Couriers

if your sending rims do a quote for 2 packages(2 rims in each package) and 4 packages(1 rim per package) as the quotes will differ :nice:

be acurate with the dimensions/weights also!

Thanks, I've tried on a different site using 2 packages even 4, but on there it made no difference, was about £130 insured.

I work for a company that deals with shipping. You're biggest battle is that carriers look at both the weight and volume of a package and will charge you on the greater of the two.

Your other issue is that most carriers will require you to have an account with them before they ship.

But for France you'll find that parcelforce is actually one of the cheaper carriers.

you will also need to package the items suitably as they will be handled like **** unfortunately.

We actually have an account at work with UK Mail but there really dragging there heels giving me a price as we have nothing setup for international deliveries. I'll just keep onto them.

I dont know if UKMail have much of an international presence or not tbh
