Seat rail question

Are em1 front seat rails same as ek9? Looking at fitting some Evo Recaro's and need to confirm easiest Fitment
 
I believe they are the same as ek4 rails, in which case they wouldn't fit the racaro seats. You either need ek9 rails or dc2 rails, which are lower, but one of the mounting points needs cutting and re-welding to fit.
 
How can people fit dc2 Recaro's into both ek9 and em1's if they were different Fitment. Just trying to understand more
 
The fixtures to the floor of the car are the same but the fixtures to the seats are different. Recaro seats with ek9 rails will fit all ek/ej shape civics, as will your em1 seats and rails. But the recaro seats will not fit em1 rails.
 
I have a bride low rail that will bolt into an ek shape civic and mount a recaro!

So I need to remove the Mitsubishi rails then fit ek9 or Dc2 ones?
 
Can my passenger seat be turned into the drivers seat as it is like new in comparison?
 
I can't see why not. The reclining wheels and levers are on both sides of the seat so they should go in either way. Its only the rails that are side specific.
