Was wanting peoples opinions and personal experience on this subject! Basically im trying to save for an ek9 because i would rather pay for it as a whole rather than getting a bank loan/finance etc.. Been very tempted by a few that have recently came up for sale but it would mean getting a loan which i know would be worth it because i would have an ek9 but i would also have to pay off that plus insurance on top! So i have a decision get one straight away or wait another year or two putting money aside to be able to buy it outright.
Surely people on here have been in the same situation as me just wanting to know what you guys have done or would do :)

I saved up because I hate debt. Took two years but was worth it!

Alright mate, i dont balme you for saving up with the interest rates as they are, i pretty much did the same :)

I saved like a like an oul farmer until i had the money to buy my 9. not a fan of getting a loan and the hassle that comes with it. Also need to set aside some monies for insurance too as its quite a nice sting as well! :( just remember it will be worth it!:nice:

I would say save, the worst thing would be having the 9 and then not being able to enjoy/drive it because your worrying about payments.

worth saving for it mate. it really depends on your circumstances.

I would say save for it.

Also while you wait it gives you plenty of time to figure out how much it would be to run and price of insurance etc. That way you know you won't get stuck once you have bought one. :)

Then you'll be able to enjoy motoring about in your own nine with no worries! :))

I personally would save as I hate the thought of debt . On the plus side of waiting you are going to have plenty time to find yourself the perfect one .on another plus if you wait the insurance will get cheaper and so will the cars get cheaper as they have dropped drastically in the past 8 months . Save up mate . Mine will be for sale in the next year :)

save and buy little parts you will want in your ride so when you get it you can personalize it your way :D

Yeah definately makes sense what you guys are saying!
@J700OCK: good point if i saved up without any debt i could look long and hard for the perfect one for me.. And if i have enough saved up i wouldnt hesitate to buy yours :p
Suppose its just being impatient wanting to get credit to get one sooner!
Never seen a thread covering this topic its good to hear that you guys have saved hard to get a 9 i think that would give you more satisfaction knowing that you worked hard for it!

i would say save or borrow of a friend/parents/brother or sister, this way you dont have pay interest.
just an idea

temptation is a killer mathew son but would say it always better to save and pay for something upfront rather than loan money and have the constant burden of having to pay out money to the bank. Ur car is a crakcer and for the matter of a wee bit longer will still serve u good until u have saved for ur 9 :)

interest rates are a joke ! as everyone says best waiting till you have the cash man :nice:

defo better to save however its not the end of the world having a bit of debt, when I finish uni ill be in loads of debt .. get some cash on tick and buy my 9 its cheap as ;)

you will enjoy your car a lot more if you know you have completely bought it and have no debt because of it

save. Thats the best way to enjoy your 9. If you use all your debt to get your k9 its means you put your way into the dept if anything happen.

Save for it! That’s exactly what I did.

Took me around 10 months worth of savings knowing that I was wanting to buy a 2nd car, and as soon as I spotted my Ek9 that gave me the drive for the final push.

Much better that way knowing that I own the car…not the bank.

Me and my misses are going halves on our ek9 Been saving since October picking the car up next month ;)

if you have a good job get a loan

Thats exactly what i was thinking bud but until last month i was making good money as a car salesman but working sat and sun every weekend was taking its toll. Could of got a loan for a 9 and insure it and be reasonably well off but it came as a price of working 60+ hours a week at 19 years old, makes me wish i had stuck in and went to college or uni and get a well paid job at the end of it with good hours!

Gonna keep saving hard and will get the reward at the end of it like the rest of you guys have done should have enough within a year thanks for the advice good to see other peoples opinions also! :)
