Sam's Fresh ek9 Import - trackday & update.

So its been a good few weeks since i updated this!

i will let the pictures do the talking bought some parts been to mimms had some work done by performance autoworks and done a trackday at castle combe (my first),

first had some custom made parts from my mate on here nick pedro love them nice lil touches love it or hate it :)

titianium bonnet holder & real carbon fibre exhaust heat sheild






not yet fitted but fits flush and just waiting to fit my js raceing exhaust!


then mimms honda show at rockingham was here so i made the 3:20 hour drive up to corby stayed for the night was a really good day out alot of nice cars there, enjoyed and the civic had alot of attention :)






























next i had a track day comeing up at castle combe so had to get the car ready so i bought some new skunk2 pro series adjustable camber arms front and rear,
then booked it in with performance autoworks up in bedford richard is a really sound guy! will be going back up soon for some bits done ;)

what they done for me was,

fitted my adjustable camber arms
set up my coilover spring pre-loads and adjusted the height so it was spot on all round,
they found that my rear trailing arm bush was gone and replaced with a new OEM bush, also my rear drop links were shot! so they also replaced with new OEM rear drop links, then finally carried out a full 4 wheel geometry set up to what i asked for witch was a ''fast road'' set up,

front camber -2.00 deg
front toe -0.5mm
rear camber -1.75 deg
rear toe +0.5mm









again they done a real good job the set up was perfect and could feel the diffrence soon as i hit the road,


next... a few days before my trackday i had orderd some ad08r's so had them fitted down my mates garage,





then combe was here with my brother in his cammed 106 gti!

it was my first trackday and had to say i loved it the ek9 was just made for the track and the ad08r's were crazzzzy!
had soo much grip i had 100% trust over the car all day my dixcel brakes were amazing once heated up the car was all round perfect!
even gave a b18 coupe a run for its money for 5-6 laps straight on his ass! affter that day the car just grew on me soooo much more! got another trackday booked for june the 10th :)





 
since then the civic is just resting under my flat safe as i got a new run about car :)

bought some more stuff from DBmatt - hondata s300+p28 and conversion harness also some Hid's :)

next plans are tegiwa toda rep manifold ( still waiting on my full js exhaust system lol!!!) then fit s300 and MAP when i got all my bolt on's,

plan on getting Mfactory 4.9 final drive + ACT prolite steel flywheel + ACT st1 organic clutch, watch this space :)

Good stuff! Thought this build was going to be a parts whore show queen type of car, but it's certainly heading in the right direction now!

Haha thanks again man and give me a few weeks and it be fitted and maped if my js system hurrys up from japan i have waited around 4-5 months :(
 
update again guys! alot has been happening lately, more shiney parts! i had some problems with sumo power with my js raceing exhaust there was another 2 months delay so i couldant wait any longer as i allready been waiting 5-6 months so i just cancled my order with 'hendyperformance' and done a deal on a full SPOON n1 system on next day delivery, also bought a tegiwa 4-2-1 manifold from adam lvell had a good deal as it never been used :)

bought a tegiwa decat pipe, had my mate fit the whole system it sounds bonkers!! love the drove and when you hit 5-6k rpm it just scream's and bursts into vtec only way i can describe it well happy :),

was a good sunny day down at combe on saturday and thanks for ''fast car magazine'' for posting a picture of my car on there facebook page fingers crossed it's in there next magazine issue :)

Where you get the spoon plates from? As want to get civic type r ones like that!

I had the spoon plates off a bloke on facebook man and i can get you mugen plates if they any good to you?
