Video from the weekend:

I borrowed the go pro from a friend and only managed to film two of my 10 laps this is one of the earlier ones as you can see track is damp and im a bit tentative on grip levels at the beginning. Yeah I know lots of people will be faster and im a bit off in places Ive had better laps but I dont care I had fun enjoy the noises :) might have a clip with the Apollo flying by if I can dig it out.

Yeah cheers Ben had an awesome time bar the rain on saturday but it didnt last long, unfortunatly we went home one teg less than we left one of the guys had a miss shift going down foxhole masive overrev. Other than that was brilliant definatly a must do if you have a group of like minded friends.

Ben: It is possible to get there on 1 tank of fuel in an EK9 but you will litterally run out as you arrive.

Hotel was about 110euros per person for the weekend this year.
Call it 30euros a day for food and drink.
36euros per lap I did 10 which was (243ish) + 2 tanks of fuel for driving and those laps.
Ferry over was £70 return.

Should be possible to do it for just over the £500 mark.

Nice pics and video mate, looks like good fun. What is your mate doing about his teg? like hows he getting it back home?
 
Unfortunatly the guy that broke the teg had borrowed the car from a friend so wasnt covered on his ADAC despite me nagging everyone to ensure they had it :angry2: managed to organise to have it shipped back for £650 which is actually a bargin with some help from Jackie at Hotel Wilhelmshöhe. Legend!
 
Jeeze sounds like a horrible situation, feel bad for the guy, bust his mates car and had to pay £650 to get it back :(
 
Yeah needless to say he felt pretty aweful afterward but they are both really nice guys though as the owner said its just one of those things anyone could do that (I know stevenEK9 had a near miss last year) main thing was no one got hurt end of the day its only a car. They both own tegs so I think the guy that broke it will either give him his engine in the short term or buy him a new one if they want to wait a bit.
 
Looks awesome mate, The more i see peoples trips this year the more jealous i am. So gutted im not going over this year!!!!! :(

real shame about the teg, I think a few of us have had near misses over there but as said if he has a teg aswell im sure they will sort it out :)

Would love to go over with my 9! Did you take the channel tunnel and drive the whole way or did you take the ferry to Holland? Wouldn't even mind going to do 3-4 laps and stay a couple of nights. Will cost a bit more to go from Aberdeen I guess though!

exact same point aswell - came through foxhole on the limiter in 5th and caught 2nd gear for a second, clutch wasn't fully disengaged but Ian was sure he saw 12k on the clocks :nerv: lucky for me no damage was done, just topped up the oil and out i went again :)

looks like a top trip, i do hate seeing all these threads pop up though, was meant to leave this coming tuesday :angry:
 
Looks like you had great time Matt. As other have said sorry to hear about your mate and the Teg.
Deffiantly need to get over there. Has there ever actally been a EK9.org organised trip??

Do you think your ever go back there with the Forester Steve?
 
there was an ek9.org trip there 2 years ago and then again last year....!!

yeah planning on heading there in the forester next year once i've set it up a bit better and tweaked a few bits, should be good for low 8 mins i think

Nice that lower time, what's the fastest lap you did in the 9?
 
Nice pictures mate. Hoping to get out there again next year providing i get a car sorted!
