Replacing aem big brake kit rotors with brembo rotors..need help!

Well... I stand corrected. What a STUPID way of false advertising of disks! Why make them look like 2 piece rotors when they're not, all they appear to have done is drill holes in the disk and screw cap head bolts into it!

I've got a database of around 9000 cars with the specs of their disks and the only one that comes near those specs is an RX8 but its only 303mm, its 24mm thick and has a 72mm centrebore.

I can have a pair of 2 piece disks made up for you, but they're not cheap... you wont have much change from £300 for a set. But these will have genuine 2 piece disks with aluminium bells. Plus when you come to replace the rotors, you're going to be paying less than £120 for a pair of rotors.

You make custom 2 piece rotors?
And replacement rotors for the 2 piece?

OK , after a lot of research :blinx:,i found out that there are no Brembo rotors that can replace AEM big brake kit rotors 305mm.

Another way to replace these rotors is a 2 piece rotor kit from Welcome to Wilwood Engineering - Specialty OEM Applications, Racing, and Street Performance Disc Brakes

You can choose a rotor : Wilwood High-Performance Disc Brakes - Hat (Bell) Mount Rotors
and a hat : Wilwood High-Performance Disc Brakes - Rotor Hats
from their catalog and make your rotor on the proper dimensions of your brakes!
:thanks:

If I were you Id just replace the whole lot, with a proper big brake upgrade that doesnt use the stock 262mm calipers (ie, bigger pads therefore more contact area).

Have to agree with that. I'm looking for someone to try the new kit I'm working on which should enable 4 pots to fit behind 15" wheels... but no one's interested :(

4 pot calipers and 2 piece rotors. Using 20.6mm thick disks we should be able to push the setup far enough back into the hub to allow for clearance. they're not cheap though, that's the only problem.

You're looking in the right place then, the Superlite kit I sell is cheaper than the one you've posted, and in all honesty it will perform equally as well as the other kit in all but very extreme circumstances.
It will fit behind some 15" wheels, the above kit is another 10mm bigger in diameter. It uses the same pads and has a similar overal piston area.
When I upgraded from AP 4 pot calipers to AP 6 pots, I couldn't really see much of a difference other than the look of the calipers :)

ok , when i ll make my mind and my poket fill, i ll let you know!:))

Or if you wanted something cheaper, there's always the Midilite setup for standard 282mm disks, or coming soon a Superlite kit that uses EP3 disks for between £5-600.

Finaly ...new brakes!

I'm surprised you didn't use the kit that FreakyParts was offering as they seem to have loads of excellent reputation and they are no overly expensive :s
