was thinking of remapping my standard ecu? gud idea? 1.6vti ek4

You cant remap the standard ecu. You would need a chipped ecu to do so or a hondata, aem, power fc etc.

you can't on a standard ecu. hondata,powerfc etc

You could map an obd2 ecu but its not really effective, the ecu will try to go back to its OEM program and you will end up back to stock. It's just not effective.

i recon its worth it to buy a ECU and remap that.. gain much more power (money's worth)

recomend you get the obd1 ecu, from eg, could be p28(d16) or p30(b16), solder in the socket for flash chip, and remap it then, you would need the conbersion cables obd2-obd1..
