Just popping along to say hi again and to reintroduce myself.

My name is James but know as Tegboy on forums. been in the honda scene for well over 10 years now but not been active on here or anywhere for a wile since buying a house.

anyway here is my 9, although its currently going through some more changes

Awsome car/build! Inspired a lot of people. Still have the poster from banzai on my wall. (The first pic). What plans you got for her now? K20?

Love this 9.. Have few pics of it on my wall! Think it looks better with the rpf1's thos.. Fair play dude

Thanks! The build was alot of fun. Plans at the min are to rebuild the engine as it had an issue on track last (some metal got into the inlet and cylindar 1, think someone put it there, as its had an air filter on the whole time)

More track orientated work/aero, another wheel change, paint refresh and yes maybe a k20 in the future.

Gutted mate. Is there much damage? Cylinder walls etc? Some knobs out there! I loved it with the rpf1's, what wheels you got your eyes on now? Cant wait to see more!

was very lucky with the damage. cylindar walls are fine. head damaged slighty. bent valve and piston damaged.

head has be repaired, have pistons and a new valve to go in.

new wheels are super rare enkei RC-S's 15x7.5 and 15x7 rear.
stripped the paint off them yesturday ready for referb. will be painted champ white.

Billy my man. With age comes wisdom ;-).
Working for BMW for many a years and in motorsport, and driving m3's, m5's rx7's, s13/14/15's supra's, masatti's and the odd ferrari's to name but a few, nothing has made me regret building and tracking my ff ek9. Rwd dosnt always mean better.
Not in my eyes anyway.

Some people don't know the power of a well put together ek9 round track ;)

Jim will be in rwd soon one day just gota wait for one with the right badge on it.
 
Welcome back bud. Saw the original magazine feature and was really impressed with your build. First time I have seen someone else on here with a set of RC-S in the same size and offsets as mine. I take it they were salvaged from another MR2 as well? Been debating on CW finish to them myself but for some reason keep swaying towards red. Don't know if that's a bit too cliché though. Did you have a nightmare trying to strip the original pearl white paint off too? Anyway will keep an eye on this. Good luck. :))
