Hey guys

Anyone know of any recommended engine builders in the Kent/Surrey/London area?

I've got a couple near me but they are "all make" engine builders so I'd rather take it somewhere thats dealt with honda stuff and is known by you guys :nice:

I don't mind travelling a bit further, cheers

what about romain at artech ? hes surrey based? serch for PIV on itr-dc2 forum

An engines a engine... As long as those engine builders have the correct tools and good knowledge you will be fine. If your relying on them for advise on parts and how it going to preform i would definatly go with what Olly has said :nice:

I would use the "all make" if they are well known and close. Besides knowing more about other engines can only benefit a persons skill set and knowledge. The builder I am using builds BMW, Audi, VW and Honda engines. Hope this helps.

Cheers guys, I think I've heard about Artech before, so we'll see :)

Sorry forgot to mention, I'm gonna be building up the block and head but just wanted to take it somewhere to get a rebore and have a chat about which cams CR ratio etc stuff like that and see what they can also do on the head so it all works well together

Its not a super spec or anything but after having a rehone on my other B16 block with the guys round here I was asking them about the above but just got a "errrm yeah we should be able to do something like that"

So for peace of mind I would rather get stuff done on the engine where people know these B engines and what mods are ideal for your plans

Cheers

What you say makes a lot of sense, but when it comes to getting information regarding what to do with the combinations of head work, cams, compression etc... This information is hard won, they're not directly going to tell you to sling your hook, they're not going to be exactly forthcoming with info.

just explain what you want to acheive, they shoudl be able to help you and advise cams compression ratio etc etc, providing you let them carry out teh work that is
