Recaro cleaning diy wanted

Take a look on the how to section. A fella on here did a good how top on cleaning them. Although he basically hosed them and the. Dried them next to a heater lol

I soaked mine with warm water and covered them in woolite, then rubbed them down gently and then jet washed the hell out of them. They looked brand new, only downside is it took a few days for them to dry out. No need to disassembly, just don't be afraid of getting them wet, you want to get the dirt out not just rub it in...

Do you think a heat gun is a good idea to help dry them?
Or is that abit too hot and damage/shrink the fabric

Danger with a heat gun is blowing hole in them haha!! I don't that wih a brand new quashqai seat lol!! I recommend jet wash then sook water out if u can

How would you get the water out? Compress the cushion with a microfibre in your hand to soak ot out that way? Might do this tomorrow.

I got the water out using the combination of Earth's gravity and evaporation :)

What I did was take myn apart and stuck the fabric into the washing machine and took just under a day to fully dry at ambient temperature and they came out like factory

Co I'll probably give the passenger one a go tomorrow

Good idea but I haven't good one. Will do something don't worry

Is it okay to use the carpet detergent you get with rug doctors and such?

already done one seat with woolite from asda - not bad result, tbh. Will see when they dry.

I ended up doing the carpet 1st lol

Took 4 hours to clean both seats. Dont know, maybe need a week to make them dry - dont want to keep them against the heater.
