rear manifold heat shield.

anyone managed to remove the rear heatshield on the exhaust manifold without actually taking the manifold off?
mines making hell of a rattle and want it taken off to make sure its from that part not somewhere else etc.

mrmmmm... a difficult proposition... bolts may be rusted quite severely... remove the front heatshielf first and then smack the rear heatshield with a wrench/spanner and see if it's actually the cause of the noise.
