this is an imge of the original air cleaner most of us have
look at number 23(SENSOR ASSY., AIR TEMPERATURE)

$original air cleaner.gif

anyone here knew where the gauge of that air temp can be seen?
or where it is located? coz i think its important to know what temp of air our engine sucks..:)lol: kinda funny sentence our engine sucks)

waiting for your replies guys..:D

As in a actual dash gauge? If so there is none it sends a signal to ecu and is processed. There is software out there i.e most tuning software that can monitor IAT.

it would be good to know what air temp your car runs best at. cos there is some days your car feels like it pulls really hard and others it feels not as good. and it seems to be on the hotter days it just dont have the same rip to it .

yes as in actual gauge..
or is it possible that we can hook up an electronic gauge or thermometer in that sensor?

anyone have done this?

The colder the air the denser it is and the more power your engine will make. This is why people try to tunnel cold air ducts from their bumpers or add heat shields around their open air filters it's all to try reduce intake air temp and get that bit more power.

I'm pretty sure the likes of Apexi neo or VAFC can monitor intake air temp.

ye i know that bud. but there always seems to be a sertain air temp that your car runs as sweet as a nut all through the rev range. sometimes when its to cold you seem to loose botton end power. would just be good to see what temp is the best for each car and setup

yes, located on the intake manifold. If I remember correctly its on the runner for piston no.2

OK the one on the IM I have but I was referring to the #23 IAT sensor from the attachment image.

I know the USA B16A2 comes with both a #23 sensor at the intake arm and the IM...was wondering if by some chance my engine retarding ignition timing was because I had missed a sensor on my CTR engine. Thanks Vtec6000.
