I've been looking at insurance quotes for EK9's and DC2's and they seem stupidly high considering my age, clean licence etc. I'm 25, clean licence, no claims or convictions, 4 years no claims and i'm getting quotes of around £1400-£1500 :eek2:

Is that the going rate nowadays for these cars?

Who are you all insured with and how much are you paying monthly?

Whos the best specialist insurance company to use?

Cheers

Adrian flux, elephant/admiral and sky(maybe) that who I would try :nice:

Try a plan Or sky fella. I'm 24, 7years ncb, all mods declared on my jdm dc2 and I'm paying £670 fully comp with aplan.

Im 22, (23 when i get insured) 4 years driving and 2 years NCB and with the exhaust delclared my quote was £1504.21 with admiral. Thats the cheapest quote i've got so far.

I tryed Sky but my post code was a 'high risk' area so couldn't get a quote off them.

I'm with Sky atm £1300 fully comp, 23 (22 at the time of insuring), 3 yrs NCB, 9 points declared, all mods declared on my EK9.

Renewal got quoted (by Sky) £1100 fully comp, 23, 4 yrs NCB, the rest as above

Am 1800 a year for my jdm dc2! 2years ncb have to declared 13 points write off and ban
That's with kwik-fit fc

Alot of it is down to the area you live in! I'm with Sky though who were by far the best for me!

tried admiral? was on a multi car policy, but they did me a cracking quote to start in jan.

I'm 28 with a clean ticket and 9yrs no claims paying sky insurance £695 for my EK9. Unfortunately it's just the way insurance is, especially for JDM vehicles. I think it depends a lot on where you live, my last motor (FN2 type-r) only cost me £580 for a 2.0

Im 20, Clean license, 0 no claims, EK9 type-R as my first car and i pay £2000 a year with Elephant fully comp with euro driving insurance and breakdown cover :nice::nice: I thought that was cheap lol

Wow thats quite a large amount to be honest. Paying £1400 fc for my track Ek9 w/ everything declared. I'm with Adrian flux aswell..

im with avivia with my ek9

try green light they were the cheapest for me

Never heard of those before. Just checked their site and seems they specialise in hot hatches and performance :nice:. They insure EK9's but not import S2000's, DC2 or DC5, bit unusual.

For my UK Dc2 i was paying around £800 fully comp, 25 years old with 7 years no claims through Sky.

Paying 1750 on a pre facelift 9 with admiral, 19 years old, not bad for my age!
