Hi mates, does anyone knows a url where i can buy b16b piston rings and a complete gasket kit?, i googled it and didnt find Honda OEM products.

Thanks

Enrique

can you buy from ebay?

there is a lot on Ebay, just make sure you get the Nippon ones or the OEM ones, stay away From the YCP brand.

You can buy from ICB Motorsports, but, seems they only have these packages.

4 JDM EK9 Piston w/ rings
4 JDM EK9 Piston w/ rings (oversized)

1 JDM EK9 Piston w/ rings
1 JDM EK9 Piston w/ rings (oversized)

maybe if you give them a shout they will sell you piston rings only but dunno, just buy some oversized ones... more compression :)

Yes I can buy from Ebay but haven´t seen any OEM HONDA products :((

just BUY the NIPPON ones, i have them in my turbocharged honda no problems :nice: NIPPON is an OEM supplier and I'm pretty sure they make the rings for honda and other japanese companies.

Great, thanks for the advice!!!

Mates, should I be driving my car with piston rings weared, what do you recommend?
Thanks

The car is emitting a smoke of smoke (?) (sorry my english is not so good) at high revs (8rpms), the compression with the b16a JASMA header was 180 :S, I'll measure with the ITR DC2 96 spec 4-2-1 header.

my car gives a puff of black smoke when vtec is engaged think its just down to either runnin slightly rich or possible 02 sensor, should check that out 1st before pullin the engine to bits but if the compression is defo down then fair enough.

Fsck, if i had enough money I'd take my car to Type One in Japan and voila, all re-built with Spoon parts, no more headaches!!!!, I'm changing workshop for second opinion (to a more expensive and better one), i sincerely hope that my 9 only need a O2 sensor and proper regulation (the extreme of the exhaust is tinting my rear lip black as well)

are you taking it to a Honda dealership?
did you manage to ake a compression test with the new header?
if the comp. is the same at the 4 cilinders and its not low (around 180 i think its ok) i dont think you have a problem.

No, haven't, Honda dealers and official workshops are a sh1t here in Peru, they work only with american/brazilian/canadian version of Hondas, not with Japaneses, they dont even know the b16b engine  is the SUX

I'm changing (at least for a complete test) to another (better and more expensive) Honda only workshop, the guy has prepared b16bs for competition!!!

Thanks for the suggestion ;)
