Aye aero catches like that are great, IF you fit them straight unlike that one :nono:

Don't be a gay blade, man up and let me drill your bonnet before Germany. I've taken the 31st and 1st off work, so there will be plenty time to do this :nice:

Wow just after reading this all I think I want these now..

Ye lot scared me with all this bonnet flying open talk :nerv::nerv:

Are they hard to install??

This made me LOL mate... at least you'll have the piece of mind...
Will look ace when it's done too.

Do you just drill a hole or do you have to cut out a shape to fit the catches? :nerv:

is it really that easy for a bonnet to unhook??

Problem lies that the hook on the underside of the bonnet is bonded in on a carbon bonnet but it's welded in on a standard steel one

I found that as standard you had to push the carbon bonnet down quite firmly to close it, so must be putting a good bit of stress on the bonding

The aero catches are easy enough to fit, just got to take your time and line them up right. drill through a pilot hole then out with the holesaws and grinder, using a dremel to neaten it up etc. Messy job, takes a couple hours but i'm very glad I did it, bonnet is mega secure
