They have been proven to work well. I would personally use them.
 
PIC are the best coilover in their price range, by far. They are just built better overall. I have a set of selects myself.
Matt Koestner, the tuner at Dent Sport Garage and avid autocrosser and ralleyer, put 90,000+ miles on the prototype set that was on his DC2 before he sold it. They are a very reliable damper, which is harder and harder to find.
On the selects, it's notable that PIC took a lot of time making sure that each of the 8 damper rebound settings were actually a difference in rebound speed. 32 or more way rebound adjustable coilovers marketed today are not so, it's more like 4 settings with these.

The customer service of this company is also second to none. I have personally talked with the owners (Jim and Al Hung) for hours on end about suspension tuning.
 
i like them, the Select is the only one i would even consider unless you plan on building a drag car then i would do select up front and drag in the rear...
