Up for sale/swap is my 205 GTI with 2.0 8v Turbo conversion from a 605 SRTi, professionally installed by SOS Motorsport in Falkirk.

Very rare Laser Green in colour. Cant be many of these left.

Shell has 125k, Engine has done less than 70k (pics of donor car and some of the history to prove if i can find it)
10 months MOT
4 months TAX

Car has been very well modified to suit the engine conversion, extremely fast little car. Perfect fast road/track car. Quicker than any B18'd High Comp Honda by a fair bit (and iv had a couple of quick ones before). Anybody who thinks different can PM and we can arrange something ;)

Modifications include :-
Group N Engine Mounts
Cosworth 2WD Front Mount Intercooler
Custom Pipework with Samco Hoses for Intercooler
Cone Filter
Bleed Valve (Setup on Rolling Road for best overall performance)
2.5" Turbo Back Custom Exhaust System.
GTI6 Front Brake Setup
Spax Suspension Kit on Front, Bilstein Yellow Rear Shocks (very low)
Powerflex Rear Bump Stops
GTI6 Fuel Pump
Battery relocated to boot.

The trims have been painted black to suit the arches and bumpers, and the wheels have also been resprayed black. Tyres are budget but have lots of tread.

Setup to only 11psi on the rolling road, the car produced 175bhp, and 225lb/ft of torque, peaking at a very low 3500rpm. Car is VERY quick

The car performs exceptionally well. Ridiculously fast and handles extemely well. Would make for a perfect track car with a couple of changes (a roll cage, bucket seats/harnesses and some better tyres)

I have a set of Cobra Monaco S bucket seats i purchased for the car but yet to fit that i will include in the sale/swap.

Mechanically perfect, iv been running it to and from work 70miles a day as a daily runner, and has given me zero problems at all.

Any test drives will be by myself, as the car is a handful to say the least. Only selling as i fear for my licence in this car and need it for work, and im also saving for a wedding after recently getting engaged.

Actually in two minds if i really want to let this car go as it'll be difficult for me to get another as good as this. An LSD would make this near on perfect. Iv even considered breaking/selling the EK and keeping this, it is that good!

Open to a swap or part exchange with WHY, or cash offers considered.

Cheers

Steve

Thats a pretty good description Jack  Pulls from 70-100 in 5th in about 3s. Mental mental car.

Second fastest car iv owned, only being topped by the 450hp EK sitting in the garage, and iv had a few quick motors in my time.

The car has so much potential. Higherlift cam and bigger turbo, with some stand along management will see it @ 220hp + and more torque. A Quaiffe or similair LSD to cure the torque steer would pretty much complete it, with some better tyres. The bottom end is the perfect starter for a 16v turbo, which results on are frightening!

Do want to do it, but its either this or the EK, and this is easier for me to sell in its present status.

god! that green colour! I love the 205s

I would say glws but... man, tune it a lil more?

Spun a bottom end bearing during a spirited drive on Friday afternoon so is currently spares or repair.

Few options :-

Remove crank and check, possible Regrind and new shells. (although unsure of a rod has been stretched/ovaled)

Replace bottom end only

Replace full engine and have spares from top end of engine fitted.

I'm willing to let it go as it sits needing a bottom end for £1500. Can get full cars with the right engine for less than £600 and a weekend would see the engines swapped over. I can show interested parties the cars I have found with the right engine.

In the mean time, I'm sourcing an engine/full motor to repair it. Goin to view one tonight in Airdrie and an engine finishes on eBay tomorrow dinner time.

Still here at the minute. havn't got the funds to repair at the minute as iv just had to buy another car due to the mrs gearbox going in her Golf.

Once Golf is repaired, i'll be looking to sell the Civic Coupe iv aquired and then set about repairing this. It might be coming back with a nice upgrade as well. Found a nice built engine and just needs fitted and management, remap and should be around 230hp, maybe more.

Hi I'm really interested in the 205. I have a forged 406 engine waiting to go in a 205 and this could be it. What suspension is on the car? Is there any rust?

I can't pm you as I have below ten posts.

My email address is granf88@hotmail.com

Grantley, iv PM'd you numerous times on the 205 drivers forum trying to buy that engine, you did initially reply saying it was for sale but never been back in touch since.

Suspension is described I the advert - Spax 60mm struts and spring on front, Bilstein yellows on the back with Powerflex rear bump stops and torsion bar lowered a lot.

Rust - little bit on the tailgate under rear window, and front wings below the trim where stone chips have taken paint away. All is just surface, not rot. Floor is sound.

I don't get on there that much these days. I thought about selling it but no how good an engine it is. I'm very interested in the car. Could I have a postcode or near abouts for shipping the car my way if that could be possible.

Thanks and sorry for missing your pm's

Hi chap!. what sort of part exchange do you have in mind?. I have a civic type-R ep 3 in grey and lowered. Face-lift model , a real eye catcher!. Or maybe this is not your bag!?.

The advert is almost 9 months old. This car is sold. The bottom end went while racing a GTR. Kept with it to 95 mph a was daft enough to keep on Full throttle past he limiter in 5th for too long and stretched a rod.

Cars now down south.
