Sup guys.

tried searching but didnt get much. maybe put the wrong parameters.
anyways, ive been trying my arse off to get rid of my leak that i have when ever it rains. water gets into the passenger side footwell and its a mission to get dry every time. in the process on building a car port to help keep the car outa the weather all the time
i am almost certain that the water is getting through the ventilation system behind the cubby.. and im not talking a little dribble, when its raining hard a good amount of water gets in.(havent driven in hard rain yet but every time i go to the car to work on it and ther has been heavy rain, i always gotta dry out the footwell,i have the mat peeled back atm...)

any help here guys? anybody else have/had this prob and how did you get around it. id rather not have to take the dash out if i can help it...

Think it's just a generic EK Civic thing as I know mine leaks and I think Gav_ek9s leaks as well

Haha this is what j have been chasing for the last few days, sealed everywhere now in an attempt to get rid of it. If you remove the glove box, heater box and fan I found a hole below the windscreen under the dash with a dirty water mark trail from it. Will upload pics in a minute.

Sometimes comes through seam sealer under and around battery tray.

hmm interesting... murphy's law, it PISSED down last nite. went home to see my car today to find the the passenger side footwell carpet SOAKED. when i lifted the carpet there was like 1cm layer of water.. so im not dealing with no small leak. although i think tis marginally worse seeing as the hood levers are off currently and the windscreen plastic is not secured down(still working on it.)

However, have another 3 leaks as well. the sunroof seal seems to be 'short' and leaves a 5m gap in the middle of the roof lol(not a sweat ill sort it out with a little silicone.) the driver side door seems to leak a bit as well(also sunroof related it seems) so a little concerned about that - anybody had or experienced this before?
last one is the right corner of the boot.. although im pretty sure i got that one covered at the moment - my two main ones are the drivers side door and the passenger foot-well. ill take out that ventilator system hopefully next weekend and see whats going on that side, the leak seems to be coming from the corner(any DIY write ups on how to do it?)

Check the sunroof water drainage tube behind the wings.
I had one of the front wings re sprayed and the body shop manage to push the tube into the car! Major flooding occurred.

well today went well. managed to get the day off, and found t\he driver side door leak, not the door at all, rather the corner of the sunroof seal. underneath it there was a slight gap so i siliconed that up and the leak seems to be gone. will do a final check on the weekend. also, sorted the rear right boot leaks too :).

as for the drainage tubing, i know that the one side is blocked and am working on clearing it. however, the leak is not coming from the tube... i need to removed the ventilator system to get a good view of whats going on.

AshyC how did you remove those components without taking the dash out? please pm me or some show me a link? gonna try at it tomorrow if i get a chance as well as this weekend as its the last thing i needa stop leaking before i assemble the entire interior again.

There was a guide on here for removing the aircon. Not much holds it in, take glove box off, then unbolted and slide down black air box and then unbolted the fan and housing (white box).
