Tried looking for it and couldn't find anything. If there is a thread on this already I do apologize. I've been struggling to get a straight up answer on this one.

I have an EJ9 as a daily and just recently, presumably, bought an EK9 suspension set. However, after installing it on the car it is sitting a lot higher than it should so I'm having my doubts.

The 'EK9' dampers in the rear have the code: 52610-S04-G110-M1, what looks like a 'D' with a smaller '6' behind that. A little bit lower it has the code 991108.
The EJ9 dampers in the rear have the code: 52610-S04-G010-M1, what looks lika a 'C' and a smaller '1'. A little bit lower it has the code 970516

The 'EK9' dampers in the front have the code: 52610-S03-J610-M1 with a big '2' and a little '9'. A little bit lower it has the code 991102
The EJ9 dampers in the front have the code:52610-S04-J610-M1 with what looks like a Japanese sign and a '6'. I don't have the code that should be under it because it was real filthy and I didn't know I would need it. I can look it up but let's see if somebody can help me as it is.

Some pictures to clarify it all:

Before and after (not the best pictures but it'll have to do):

Before it looked more like this picture (with stock suspension) and somewhat like an EK9 should:

After it looks like this :wow:

Please help me. I didn't pay a lot for a fake EK9 set. I've asked this question on the forums I usually attend but nobody seems to know exactly.
The S04 stands for four door, S03 three door, S02 (not seen in these codes) two doors.
I've also been told that the (European) EK hatches often (if not always) use the S04 dampers in the back though the JDM EK9's use the S03 dampers.
The J610, G110 and G010 are presumably specs for damping.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Also, a friend has an EJ9 as well with simular setup and that looks like this:

Which is a huge difference.

Hmm I'm pretty sure you don't have ek9 dampers!

I can help you out tomorrow checking my ek9 suspension part numbers, 1 am here lol.

If you could that would be great. I've had the 'EK9' dampers for about 10 days now and not sure if I can even return them after such a long period.

Thanks RVM.

They are not EK9. Here is a couple of pics from my old set..

I can't thank you enough guys.

Going to take them of tonight then and contact the shop where I bought them (250 km away). Sigh.

Any chance you can give me the full code? Can't see all of it.
Front:
'??610'-S03-Z010-M1 7 '?'
000419
Rear:
51602-S03-Z010-'??' '?' '?'
00041'?'

I'm guessing the front dampers also start with '51' and the rear dampers also have the 'M1' after the Z010 and the '9' after the 41. But to know for sure would help a lot.

Again, thank you guys!

I think I got an answer.
Got a usefull reply at an other forum with a link.

Ok, my suspension is the same as the photos haitch posted.

Mine comes from Jaapan, the shocks has japanese characters on it but has different part numbers on the shocks as compared above.

the six numbers on each shock for instants 991102 = 1999 november 02 and 970516= 1997 may 16 each cars full original sets are usually made within a few days of each other for example 991102 and 991105 hope that helps
