Hey guys names josh, i live in the florida. I drive a 96 Civic Type R imported from japan. It was riced out ( shaved side moldings, bumpers, paint, ect ) but i am de-ricing it... And it is now getting a $2500 paintjob back to champ white... Ill post some pics up tomorrow when i go buy to drop some new things off for paint.

I was wondering the same, maybe you should share with us how you got it registered in the states :woot:

Thanks everyone, and the car is not registered under the jdm vin number... It is indeed vin swapped.

^^ Ohhh ;)

Welcome along bro :)

Yea its the only way i can really drive it.... So whatever works, lol... The rule is the car has to be 20 years or older so once 20 years hit i plan on registering it the "correct" way. I have the jdm title and everything still so its all good.

Welcome along man! Where in Florida are you from? i spend alot of time there, absolutley love it. :nice:

Thank you, i live a little bit south of Tampa... I just wish the scene was better down here, just alot of kids rocking fake stuff and rotas....

And when you get a person like me who has a real 9 in the us i dont feel safe even walking into the store and leaving my car alone.... Recaros + 5 lug + RHD in the us = stolen super fast... lol

Swapping your vin is against the law, its a felony in some States in the USA.

Wikipedia: A person convicted in a court of law of a felony crime is known as a felon. In the United States, where the felony/misdemeanor distinction is still widely applied, the federal government defines a felony as a crime punishable by death or imprisonment in excess of one year. If punishable by exactly one year or less, it is classified as a misdemeanor.[1] The individual states may differ in this definition, using other categories as seriousness or context.

Is a civic really worth 1 year in behind bars and a shredded civic?

Smoking marijuana is also against the law, is getting high worth a drug possession and going to jail/prison? I dont think so, but the millions of people in the world who smoke weed i guess it is...

My rule is its only illegal if you get caught. I just dont drive like a jackass and the cops wont bug you.
