Hi i have a 98 ej9 1.4 illusion and i currently have a nice b18c4 sitting at my friends unit nearly ready to be fitted! Just need to get some mounts sorted. There is going to be a b16b head going on it with the b18 cams and im gonna run the s9b gearbox cos its got a limited slip diff in which should be good :) Can't wait!!

hey man I got the same car, well model. sounds like you got your priorities in line =] welcome to the club
 
use the S9B diff in a S4C gearbox, the box out of a MB6 hass way to long ratio's

you upgraded the brakes/ARB/suspension?

Thanks lol well don't get me wrong the 1.4 is quick for what it is but i want a vtec engine and the b18 seems to be the way forward!

How long are we talking sammy... 60+ in 2nd? Im only on some lowering springs and no but there is gonna be some type r brakes going on;)

no not like outragously long, but fourth and fith is too long for sprited driving, those boxes were designed for cruising doon the motorway

Alright blitz... i live on boroughbrige road near to the bp garage what about you? Didnt think there was any ek's in york tbh lol
 
Well I'm on the A19 a few miles away from the Designer Outlet.

Not too many Modified EK's in York, to my knowledge just myself in the EK9 any my mate with a EK4 VTiS, plenty of standard EK's floating about including a totally shagged one just up my street!

Yeah there are a few ek/ej's about but i cant say i've seen any ek9's:(. Do you go to any meets or owt mate?
