Honda civic ek9 type r rx
Hi just joined so thought i would start by saying hi and uploading a picture of my car,am sure it used to belong to a guy on this site...






 
Can anyone help a need a front windscreen as its got a crack in it I orderd a new 1 from Honda Japan but I have waited over a month n they still can't give me a date of when I should expect it or even if its instock dose anyone know wear I can get 1 or even a used 1 .

Keep your eye on the cars breaking section i'm sure you'll get a windscreen for a good price :D

Already tried jap performance parts they don't have any front windscreens and Honda weren't any help the day they gave me a ata which was today so a called up there's still nothing on the system anyway am thinking about puting a cheap ej9 1 from you pull it till the window eventually arrives will this fit.
Thanks for all the welcomes,yeah passed a mint ek9 same as mine at tesco a while back.
 
Forgot to ask if the ej9 windscreens fit dose it matter if its from a pre face lift mines is the 2000rx model.

Not sure about the lightweight glass to be honest but the tint is different, they are all the same shape though
 
Ok cheers Gav u pull it says the windscreen will be £12 then will get a glass company to take it out then put it in mine,will do till the window finally comes from Japan .
 
Cheers wishy do use have events coming up that I could come along to.
Anybody know of any windscreen company's that would take a used 1 out a old car then put it in mine a used motoglass the last time but seems they have shut down.
 
Keep your eye on the meets section, specailly coming into the good weather always meet in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

As for your windsrcreen is it covered on your insurance? I have my windscreen replaced on my EK4 through my insurance no hassels..
 
Don't have windscreen cover and ma plan with the scrapies seems no good as a lot of glass company's will only fit the glass they supply,moto glass done my old civic but they've went bust.
 
Hopfly find someone on here that's selling 1.
 
welcome to the site mate,if you wer a bit closer to me i have a mate that works for autoglass that would have done it. where about in fife are you?
 
Welcome to the forum. I bought my EK9 from Fife :). Hope you get your windscreen sorted.

As said mate, keep your eye on the meets and events section, usually meets in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Will be a load of us at the Monster Unit track day at Knockhill and SCS at the SECC soon as well :D
