i finally sorced a deal to get my civic resprayed. im swapping my impreza to get a full respray on the civic :D

next on the list is to get new wheels, i want a set of 15" rota's but im starting to think they might be too small. can someone possibly show me a pic of 15" wheels on a ek civic. tried looking on google ect but can find any for some reason ?

thanks

A) 15'' is the best size for an EK unless your brake setup requires you to go bigger

B) You can't possibly be serious about not being able to find a picture of an EK with 15'' alloys on. That's like the most common size ever! How old are you - 21, 22? And you still can't use Google? I'm getting sick of people who clutter the forum with - now excuse my french - idiotic questions like this. I'm sorry if I sound harsh, but the fact you didn't find the answer you were looking for in the 0.25 a second you probably spent looking is not a valid reason for starting a thread like this. Anyway, I spent twice the amount of time googling you did (so about half a second) and found this and many other pictures.

BTW, EK9 wheels are 15'' so any stock EK9 will do as well.

(A) thanks for letting me know

(B)yes i can use google but when i looked for them i couldnt see a difference between 16's and 15's therefor i didn't know if it was really a 15 on the civic thats why i came on here to make sure they were 100% 15's and what they look like. at the end of the day these forums wouldn't exist if these questions were not asked.

Not really helpful mate, either answer the question without moaning or just don't comment on the thread.
Can't stand bitching over the internet.
Anyway, as said, EK9 wheels are 15", and so are EK4 wheels.
Personally I would always have 15" wheels on my EK, as I think they are the perfect size.
If I needed bigger wheels for brake clearance, etc, then I would use 16's, but I'd much rather use 15's.

thanks for helping me get that point across i dont understand why people cant be helpful without being nasty about it.

anyway thanks for the reply mate im going to go for 15's as i wont be getting a big brake kit for a while yet. thanks very much

No problem mate.
Don't forget though, it's your car so it's your choice.
Go through some build threads on here and you will see what wheels different people are running.
I was just looking at a users thread on here called Ramz007 (I think) and he has 16" Enkei RPF's on his EK and to be honest they suit the car perfectly.
So just look around before you spend silly money on a wheel style/size that you don't like once fitted lol

Because I hate lazy people, asking a question is so much easier than actually making the effort and trying to find out, isn't it? You think I can tell the difference between 15'' and 16'' wheels just by looking at a picture? No, I can't yet it took me literally 20 seconds to find multiple pictures where the person who posted the said they were 15''. I am sorry, but there's no excuse for this.

Cool, I guess I really will stop commenting on pointless posts. You can't stand bitching, I can't stand lazy people who can't be ****** to try and find the answer first.

if you fit 50 profile tyres IMO 15" do look too small.
15" with oem size 55 profile look spot on.
People who fit 16" use tyres that have the same rolling radious as oem 55 profile 15" that's why they look the same.
Dunx

Fair enough mate, I understand that and some people post threads on here that really get to me. But if you just help the person then you could be stopping another person from asking the same thing again in the future (unlikely but oh well).
But I do agree, people should search first.
Google has all the answers, well most anyway.

Correct, but then you have to consider larger sidewalls flex easier (if you're looking for good handling and not just looks)

I will look into it a little further before making any choices last thing I want is to spend 500+ on a set of wheels then I think there to small or big. Thanks for the help :)

At first I was looking at 45 profile on a 15 but then changed my mind to 50 profile because the toyo r1r didn't come with 45. Thanks for the reply though mate

If it annoys you that much why did you comment ?

I said some people post threads that get to me. I didn't mention this thread. I think you'll find I've done my best to help you...

didnt mean you mate i meant the other guy that posted first

By the other guy I guess you mean me. So, I guess I commented because A) Since you asked the question (which as you probably have guessed I think you didn't need to ask at all...) I thought I would help you and give you the answer. I am really not as bad a guy as you probably think now, but hey, I can't please everyone. B) By commenting further on the topic of how you could have easily answered the question yourself I was hoping that maybe next time you will actually put some effort into searching for the answer before asking the question. There is a huge wealth of information on this forum, but trust me it doesn't help when you try to search for some piece of information when you need to sieve through tons of pointless threads like this. That's my personal opinion, maybe when you actually start using the search tool you will see what I mean. One thing I would like to add - don't treat this as a personal attack, I have nothing against you and you are by far not the only one who has done this. Likewise, everything I said is my personal opinion and does not mean it is correct, but it is what I stand by.

Fair enough Mate I know where your coming from but forums wouldn't exist if these questions were not asked and people wouldn't go through countless of pointless threads if someone just put a simple pic up showing what I asked. Anyway mate I'm not on here to make anyone out to be a bad guy and don't want people thinking the same about me, no hard feelings ?

Nope, no hard feelings at all. :)
