Nana's Ek9


You all probally thought id disapeared but im back with a smallish update...

I havent had much time off as ive just done 2 weeks with 1 day off at 54 hour weeks, pretty ****ed but im saving pennies for the 9, dont tell the bird...

Anyway

2 front arches, Cross member, Inside the arches as far as i could get with a brush, Left to dry for 1-2 days, another coat applied, i have applied 3 coats to both front arches, im going to re-do the rears and ive done the back end completely 2-3 coats again...


Parts Waiting:

Spoon rear mount, Energy inserts tigersealed in, see how hard this is :)
Millers 10/40, found the 5/40 to thin??
Front/Rear Droplinks
Project MU Discs ( Aluminium bells/rotors ? ), bit of a lip but ive grinded and sanded the discs so they are looking good.
EBC Yellowstuff front pads to go
More gearbox oil, I changed mine 1-2k ago, dropping it again, the box feels alot better with fresh oil in my oppinion.

2 97 ek9 headlights very good condition from vtecperformance as i hit a dear and smashed one, new piaa bulbs to go with them as well as 2 of mine smashed went for brighter ones...

Also waiting back on a topfuel 97 ecu and a mugen ecu... not heard much yet

And im also waiting for weaveworx to get back to me on payment for the spoon style front lip for the pre-face

Thank you to vtecperformance for the super mint 97 ek9 headlights, So put them on, only thing i forgot was a indicator bulb -__-, Gave it a good scrub with poorboys diamond white glaze, meguiars tyre shine...

Removed the aircon as well and got some fancy gold nuts/washers off boltsbolts ill get other pics up soon heres a few for now

Delighted it looks like a car again had it out for a blast the other night still makes me grin :)





 
Well mot is on monday :)

Finally got round to fitting the project mu discs, yellow stuff pads = what a difference, it actually stops now lol

Front/Rear droplinks replaced, solved my knocking noise
Rear wheel bearing on
HKS brake lines on, copper greased the calipers
Rear lca bushes, replaced with oem
Aircon yoinked out

Well well that day actually came when some spineless prick would have the balls to touch my car, Basically to cut along story short lads, his bird wanted drill, i have a girlfriend who i love very much, i use msn/fb alot at work and she would be on there flirting like ****, her boyfriend found these convo's and the dirty pics she sent ME, so decided he would walse on round and kick my drivers mirror off... but it gets better like that wouldnt damage your pride/heart enough he chucked part of a brick at it... though i cant find any marks all over the car?

Best part is he done it of me being home 3-4 minutes max, why not shout me and start on me if he had a problem?

But most of you should know i dont go down without a fight... I have bought dtm styl'ed mirrors and some proper vinyl wrap ( no it isnt off ebay ) , know they aint genuine but hey, they will look alright

jesus what a coward, instead of facing you he attacked your property.

Wait outside his house when he comes back, walk up to him and without any questions literaly destroy him, then he will learn his lesson. Thats of course if you know its was him 100% but dont let it go because those types will always came back if you wont put up to them
 
Dark nights come in handy for a reason... Not even joking i literally had 13 of my mates on the phone telling me they will go round and sort him, Let it tide over for now
 
Update:

Well i needed mirrors as i was using the car for a week, Ended up with dtm's looking at photos its obvious it looks better with the standards i know :(

Ordered a oem clutch off simauto, cheers mate, and awaiting my flywheel from spooneurope whenever they decide to email and say it has been posted... taking their time





 
Liked going through this thread, has alot of tasty parts. IMO though it's screaming for a rear import plate and a loss of the mudflaps. Apart from that its a cool 9.
 
That was very cowardley for that guy to kick your mirrors off! New mirros look quite cool, sometimes its good to be a bit different.
