My Spoon 4-2 header

I just got a Spoon 4-2 header for $200 usd....she took about 3 hours to polish up since it looked like crap before, that's why it was so cheap. Plus in the ebay pictures it looked like it had a big dent but it was just a reflection

spoon didnt mark there manifolds well the 4-2 & 2-1 i may be wrong but im 89% sure they didnt.

yeah i know that the 4-1 are marked on the primaries! thought they would have done the same for there others!

Real Spoon Sports header does not have the plaque on the top, at least the 4-2 doesn't. Spoon does not make a 2-1 "down pipe", only 4-2 or 4-2-1 (more like 4-1 though). I should have taken a before photo, but I was too excited to clean it up. Do I need the gaskets that go between the manifold and downpipe? the only part number I could find is 18212-SB2-961 but it's for a USDM ITR, should be the same right?

Oh, they must have stopped making it as they don't listed it on their website. I normally buy direct from Spoon. I googled and found this for EK9 (18210-DCR-000) it's like $400.00usd....yikes!

What's that supposed to mean?? I have a full Mugen exhaust, which came with the car and stock exhaust manifold right now....how is that a "sorry exhaust" unless you are just refering to stock? Maybe I'm reading it wrong.

Spoon made a 2pc header (4-2 & 2-1) for the ITR. Here are some pics. My Header for my JDM DC2 ITR is the 2pc header and the other header is from my friends JDM DB8 ITR a Spoon 421 1pc Header This is the day that we decided to clean our toys hehehe

Not sure, I have heard about Spoon only putting plaques on their show/demo cars or products. On www.spoon.jp they only show the top of the 4-2 header and they never have plaques. I'm not saying yours is fake I have only seen them on the spoon "style" header, but they normally just say "Spoon Sports". Are you sure yours is genuine? If so maybe you lucked out and got a demo header since that is what the plaque looks like that they use, kinda cool.

I will be installing it on Thursday, I'm still trying to figure out the gasket. I know stock they come with the 2 little round one and I have a flat gasket but I had to cut the bolt hole cause they didn't fit. Also the exhaust holes are a bit bigger so I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use it. I went to Honda today to order the round ones but every Honda in Japan was closed today. I will post pictures on Thursday night.

Mine is definately genuine. It was bought from spoon sports Europe approx a year ago. I still have the receipt and spoon sports box it came in.

LOL you simply read it wrong dude....

i meant to say : it adds value to your piece of ART ..... sorry i meant exhuast... basically i was refering to your exhuast as a piece of ART and then corrected my self. As alot of exhuasts are works of art in my opinion instead of a simple functional piece of tubing... basically i'm pretty sad mate and really like rare car parts..

I did join honda-tech a while ago actually and haven't been on for ages simply for the reasons you mentioned in your post... stupid comments..
and i wish it was my car in the picture with that wing..
