Now then guys and girls. (Prepare for a long winded read )
After a while of debating wether or not to sell my dc2 i finally gave up the keys and bought myself something a little different. I was actually in line to buy a jdm ep3, which i was completley gutted about when my mate decided to keep it until he is back from duty in afghan (but hey ho), i will have to wait till october until i get another shot a buying it.
When the sale of the ep3 fell through i still had it in my head that i wanted to change car. So after have a think about what i wanted i came across the ek9, which i had fell in love with a few years back, but was unable to insure it, but one quick phone call to the insurance changed that straight away. So thats when I came across one that duncan from fastjapcars.com had one for sale and i knew i had to have it. Even though it was quite a journey to get it, i knew him off ek9.org and knew he was a reputable seller. So after bombarding him with pm's, we agreed a day that i could come down and view it.
So the day came, but one hiccup had occured. According to my insurance they can;t insure me on a standard '9', but they will put me on a modified scheme if i modify it (bit confusing, but nevermind). Whilst on the phone to dunx he told me of an fujitsubo mo1a that 'xokirstyox' was selling and that she dosen't live far away from him. So down i went to pick the exhaust up so that dunx could fit it and i could get the insurance started and i could drive it away .
(thanks again for the easy and pleasant transaction kirsty, love the exhaust, just what i wanted)
Dunx fit the exhaust even though he was packing for his ski trip holiday (legend) and i got to enjoy the awesome sound the whole 250 mile journey back. It is completley a different animal to drive. Love the rawness of them and the dc2's, quite glad i didnt get the more refined ep3. Even though it is down on power and torque compared to the teg, i think it makes up for it where the '9' is lighter.
Car is standard as it now apart from
Fujitsubo RMO1A Cat Back Exhaust (thanks to xokirstyox)
Spoon Resevoir Socks
Skunk2 Rad Cap
Momo Race Steering Wheel
Apline Tweeters mounted in the doors
Future Plans:
Standard Steering Wheel
Fast Road Set Up
Spoon SW388 Wheels (i know just a jdm branded version of rota slipsteams, but i want jdm points)
Lower Seat Rails (dc2) or buddyclub)
Fresh Front and Rear 'H' Emblems
Dyno Run to get an i dea of fiigures
Anyway i will stop rambling on now and show you some pics:
Thanks for reading, all comments welcome and more pics will be put up when i have a spare 5mins and she has had a good detailing (i promise).
