its a pitty i cant getover how cheap this cars are going this days dont know if to sell mine or keep it.

I recon its worth 1k more than i paid?

How exactly??
You havent really told us much about it.
A stock EK9 would never go up in value. . . unless it was like the only one left in existance (what a sad world that would be)

Is a mint ek9 with 50 odd k on the clock not worth about 6k?

Pprice you paid IMO is about right give or take a few quid. Looking at the spec of some cars up for sale and their prices, then its unlikely to get £6k+ in the market now - perhaps 2 or 3 years ago you wouldnt have any problem.

Are you guys serious?

Yous are clearly not active in the EK9 market .

Go have a look for a facelift this cheap that looks decent - they are usually just under 6k up to 8k - have seen a few around 5k before but the were dogs.

Im currently saving for an EK9 and i'm checking the prices all the time - if i found that facelifts were at this price i'd be chopping a few months off my planned saving time !!

This Civic has been bought for pre-facelift money.

The only place I have still to look at EK9 prices is Ireland, as I think there is money to be saved by buying there. Dont have a clue where to start though.

I still prefer the look of the pre FL bumper though

So why did you not buy a mint pre facelift? and leave this bargain to a facelift fan :naughty:

I'm guessing i wont be surprised if i see this for sale soon with a meaty price tag ?

HAHA! everyone says sell it on, but me loves it too much!

dont dislike the bumper as it is now just think the orig looks better.

dont be naive , nearly most of japanese imports have been clocked before they are shipped.
In Ireland you can pick up a standard facelift ek9 in good condition for 5k-6k now

Euro's or Pounds?

This is why i wanna get one from Ireland - much cheaper.

In UK you cannot buy a car like that under £5k - which makes it a bargain (if its clean and legit)

Euros man, but you still have to do some searching as there are few wrecked examples around. Anyway there are few that found really quick.
Honda Civic Type R Ek9 for sale in Mayo: €5,800 - DoneDeal.ie
honda civic type r for sale in Limerick: €4,450 - DoneDeal.ie

I om sure you can shave off up to 500e by bargaining them

Second example there is a pre facelift which are alot cheaper.

1st example looks not bad but guy has in his PX list a black Civic SiR or a different colour EK9 - I would avoid this car entirely just with these comments - says right away to me that theres somethin wrong with it.

Not picking faults but you have certainly shown that the best place for a bargain is infact Ireland !!
